About 10 years back on the 4th of July, a roomate of mine decided he was going to blow off some dynamite caps he had stolen from a construction site (apparantly some time ago -- as they were sweating in his parents garage -- so the news stories say).
Anyway, while we're at a party partying, you here a couble REALLY loud booms. The 5th one was the kicker -- the dynamite was sweating, and as he lowered his match -- the flame jumped, instantly igniting the cap. !BOOM!
We had no idea anything happened (perhaps the sirens should have tipped us off - but we were in LA so ...) until the TV cut to a live coverage of some guy that had blown his hand off. They had pictures of the cops wandering the streets picking up fingers -- when suddenly someone says -- Hey, that's our house. Being stoners we all ran outside into the midst of commotion and throngs of cops.
Anyway, eventually he healed and used to punch people with his forarm butt. So I guess it had a happy ending. Though the police did take his dynamite (2 cases) and lighters.
Anyway, don't try this at home.
