im going to be growing in a near air tight room and im worried about air quality and i was wondering if anybody else has ever tried having dryice with their plants as it would breathe pure CO2 to them. i havent seen anything about this so lemme know what yall think.

I tried this a couple times and really couldn't tell the difference. More of a waste of $$$ either go for the real thing as in bottles and timer so you get a more. I have seen CO2 tablets for sale but have never tried them.

In small closets you only use about 2-5 (5 pounds of Dry Ice it will last about 24 hours). Turn off vent fans that will remove the air from the closet keep on the fan that is circulating the air around your closet. If you donâ??t have room to place your pan/bucket with the dry ice inside the room (with out getting too close to any plants) place it outside the room and run a hose inside. Seal the Dry ice up tight and the gas will exit out the tube. Dry Ice is real CO² itâ??s just in a frozen state thatâ??s all. CO² is cool and heaver then air so it falls to the ground quickly and engulfs your plants from the bottom up. Plants breathe from the underside of the leaf how convent is that? You only use Dry Ice when the lights are on, itâ??s will not do you any good with the lights off the plant canâ??t process the extra CO². Fluorescents do not produce enough light for the plant to process the extra CO². So if you are not using MH / or HPS lights save the money.
Each pound of CO² displaces 8.7 cubic feet of air. You want to raise your CO² level to around 1200-2000 PPM (I just do the math and guess)
You need to use it everyday from day one to the last day of flowering but itâ??s worth every penny. The tank gas is the best with the proper regulator you can maintain close to the correct amount with just a timer.
You can make CO² yourself here are a few.
Fermentation â?? The cheapest way (stinks to high hell)
1 cup sugar
1 pk brewers yeast
3 quarts of warm water (hot water will kill the yeast)
Mix all in a one-gallon jug and you will make CO²
Next
Baking Soda and Vinegar
Drip Vinegar (acetic acid) into a pan filled with baking soda
This works itâ??s just hard to regulate the levels at all.
