Yeah but a bottle of vanilla extract cost around 5 bucks for a few ounces. Hell, just get high. It's much better than being drunk. :)

Absinthe (Green Fairy) 75% alcohol, never tried it, but it apparently has hallucinagenic properties (doesn't sound right, but you know what i mean)
I also can't find it in any off licence's or Makro, but if you can.. get it:D

Yes it can becuase i saw on the news that kids got caught drinking vanilla extract and some stores were no longer aloud to sell it to kids.

You can get drunk off of any extract, vanilla, almond, etc but it's fuckin nasty. Hard core alcoholics get it cause they can buy it with food stamps. I can understand doing stuff like dxm and nutmeg but drinking extracts means you are really too desperate for a buzz.

This stuff is pricey but supposedly inspired Van Gogh, Hemmingway, and dozens of other artists, poets, and authors. One of these days I've got to try it for myself. Anyone here ever actuially tried the stuff?

i don't think it's got hallucinagenic properties.
i've read a bit about the stuff, and alot of people that i've
read reports on don't claim to really get any similar effects
out of it. just some hard ass liquor with some herbs... (WORMWOOD)
and some people have said that they have memory problems
when using it occasionally (more than once a week).
i'll pass and stick with the shit i drink now. at least i can
just run down to the corner store and get it.

Cannabis Vodka - Mild spirit made from cereal alcohol, treated water and sugar with hemp seeds of Beniko species (Cannabis sativa L.). Unique vodka with the distinct taste of Cannabis.
Thujone is a toxic chemical present in wormwood and has a similar molecular geometry with THC, the active chemical in cannabis. SWEET
Anyone tried Ouzo, i downed half a bottle (my mate drinking the other half) in shots, in 5 minutes, after drinking a crate of Carling with him and one other, needless to say, i was fucked, and not too good the next day either:)

Despite the fact that thujone is classified as a convulsant poison, many doctors and scientists consider thujone to be a powerful drug, and psychoactive in relatively low dosages. :)
Anise is another one of the main herbs used in making legitimate Absinthe. It is not toxic, however a strong dose induces drunkenness, trembling, epileptic convulsions, muscle spasms, analgesia and sleep, just like opium.
Fennel, as has anise seed, fennel seed has a potentially psychoactive anethole.
Hyssop, in progressive doses, is believed to have a convulsive property.
Angelica root is grown as a drug in Lapland.
Coriander is mentioned as an aphrodisiac in the Arabic One Thousand and One Nights, and is said, in the same text, to conjure up the Devil when used in combination with fennel.
Calamis contains psychoactive asarones, used as an inebriant by Native Americans.
So we are left wondering if Absinthe, or rather wormwood and its essence thujone in Absinthe, is to blame for its effects.
It sounds great ! So will it make me hallucinate ?
Not after one shot!
Remember, all those poets were not just occasional drinkers ! Vincent Van Gogh drank enormous amounts of Absinthe, and as a result his paintings were characterized by intense yellow hues and halo effects, such as in his still life of an Absinthe glass and water decanter painted in 1886.
So how will I feel after drinking Logan Fils Absinthe made the old way?
Logan Fils absinthe made the old way has all the essences in the same proportions as in old original absinthe, including particularly Grand Wormwood, Genepl, Petite Wormwood, Anise, Fennel and others. These essences together with wine spirit have quite a significant effect on the body, in that you can drink much more of the stuff than other strong spirits and it does not make you feel drunk but ...
As Oscar Wilde once described :
"The first stage is like ordinary drinking, the second when you begin to see monstrous and cruel things, but if you can persevere you will enter in upon the third stage where you see things that you want to see, wonderful curious things."
And this is what probably made famous artists what they were.
That is from the FAQ on absinth.com

So am I man. Does it stop me from drinking? Hell no. All you need is friends. by having friends, this opens you up to friends older brothers/sisters who will buy you booze. (As long as you are over the age of 12. Otherwise, what the fuck are you doin drinkin?!?!?)

I actually got drunk off of absinthe on my 21st birthday overseas. It tasted horrible to me. But when I mixed it with juice and water it was okay. I never really did hallucinate on it though, but it did seem to make colors a bit brighter and things seemed to have that tracer effect to them. It did give me the worst splitting hangover I have ever experienced though. I think it is just overrated and hyped up since it is not easy to find a good bottle of it. anyone else have a good experience with it?

My friend got recipies online and makes it all the time. He has it every weekend and he gets so fucked up. Like one time he was on it and his mom said something to him and he just mumbled some shit so she said it again and he kept mumblin then he screamed and ran so... i dunno it must be some good shit.

yes but is it safe? who has tried it? or would it be better to buy mouthwash.
its no problem for me, you could dilute it in some pop or milk and it would be a normal drink.

Vanilla extract? what the fuck dude. Sniff some glue or drink mouthwash you fucktard. I tried Absinthe about a month ago with some friends. We all had mild hallucinations (tracers, inability to focus on certain things) and VERY vivid dreams we all thought were real. The stuff is the most bitter thing ive ever tasted in my life
(180 proof) and an interesting thing about it is even though we had more than enough alcohol in our systems to be very drunk, we could still think and act quite clearly. I would say its a waste of money though.
