Alright, today i bough 2 ounces with my friend and were both gonna get an OZ each. Anyway, when we got it I drove a few blocks down and pulled over to look at the quality of our purchase. My friend poured our stash on a notenook and started to split the 2 ounces 50/50. i was looking at the weed wich was on my friends lap on a notebook when all of a fucking sudden a pig knocks on the window. My friend just closed the notebook with the weed still inside. Then the cop told us to get out of the car so my friend sets the note book on the dashboard. He told us he noticed i wasnt wearing a seatbelt and then another cop came. This asshole told the other cop "we should search the car". He said i better give him what i had cause if he found it he would be "very upset". I said nothing and he began searching the car. I knew he was gonna find the stash cause it was in a notebook wich was all fat and bulging from the weed in it. The cop turned the car upside down and looked everywhere except that note book.

THANK GOD THEY DIDNT FIND ANYTHING (he gave me a warning for no seatbelt :rolleyes: )

Why the hell did you let him search the car? He had no probable cause whatsoever to search it. Damn it, you have fucking rights in this country. You don't have to consent to a search because of some officer on a power trip. After he said that he wants to search your car, say "No officer, and if I'm not under arrest for anything, I'd like to go." If he tries to keep you there, tell him to fuck off.

new law was passed after a a cop illiedally searched a guy and found alot of weed(dont remember how much). the guy got away cause the search was illiegal. Now the cop can search ur car without any cause.

my closest call was when i went to the school police liason because me and this other kid were smoking outside during lunch, he searched us, found a full pack on the other kid(which was mine, i was pissed because i just bought it, but didnt balme the other kid...snooze) so anyways, when the cop searched me, he foun just school items, and the thing is, i had an eight in my coin pocket(that little one above your right pocket), and when the cop patted me down, touched everywhere around the coin pocket, stopped, said he thought he felt something, and then just shrugged it off!!! i had a full eigth!! i was sweating and everything, jesus christ, i almost passed out

I got caught smoking a joint with a friend. We were walking down the middle of the street smoking up, which sounds dumb...however in Canada you need at least 3 grams on you to be charged or even fined so the cop couldn't do anything. It wasn't any fun being searched however but oh well.

yea the stupidity of police will never cease to amaze me but there was no probable cause to search your vehicle you should never give consent to search your car EVER this thing could have been much worse in the future i would do any bagging and splitting at the house if you must carry a quantity of weed in your car put it in the trunk and never give consent that way if they do search and find something your attorney can file a motion to supress the evidence there is a good short film about traffic stops called busted acitizens guide to surving police encounters if you can find it give it a watch

A pig walked over to me when me and my mates were skinning up in the middle of a parkat night, they didnt have the usual luminis stuff they usually where so we didnt see them coming to the last moment at which point i decided the safest thing would be to chuck my freshly bought half O. The cop walks over shines his torch at the bag of weed and instead of mentioning it he makes my mate pur out his beer then they just walked away because he said we weren't causing any real trouble.
I wish all pigs were as sound as that.

Don't know about America but in Scotland atleast police can search anyone who looks "suspicious" so basically they can search and car and any persons they like and we can't do jack shit about it. :(

they can do a walk around with a canine unit but can not searxh the vehicle unless you give them consent there are exceptions to that if they catch you driving drunk or with out a valid lisence or if you have a warrent out for your arrest [ that was always the one that got me ] but you should never give up your rights if they ask what you have to hide tell them i have nothing to hide but a lot to protect like my 4th amenment rights that many men and women fought and died to protect and that you will not dis honor thier memory by allowing a frivolous search by a narco terrorist little shit such as you

i still havnt seen that yet i hope you are wrong but i fear you are right but i think the most they can do right now is a walk around with a dog if the dog indicates there is contraband they can search this is a terribly unfair way to do a search as the dogs are trained with a reward system they find somthing they get a treat or a toy so the scale's are unfairly tipped to the gestapo's advantage

WOW! Talk about lucky. I do have a story of a close call though.

One of my buddys dad, to start off, he's a cop. We were driving down the main road in his jeep when all of a sudden, there was a seatbelt checkstop hiding around the corner. Well stupid me, I wasn't wearing one, so we get asked to be pulled over. We pull over, the jeep is just smoking and stinkin from the joint, there is a pile of roaches in the ashtray, and we have a QP in the back that we were just delivering. I thought we were fucked, totally! I roll down the window and the cop smiles and says, "hi son, you know you weren't wearing a seatbelt right? I'm going to have to give you a ticket". I was like, ok, that's cool. He kind of looks at all of us, smiles, and spots a Maxim mag on the dash. He says, "is that the new Maxim?", I was like,uhhh...ya. He walks away with all of our ID's and the Maxim mag, doesn't come back for like 20min man! We were just shitting our pants. There were cop cars blocking us in, like 6 of them, and I was SO sure they were going to search. He finally comes back, and he says to me one buddy, "your dad's a cop eh?" Yup, he sure is. He smiles again, gives back our ID's, says have a nice day. As he's walking away, he turns to us and says, "mind if I keep this mag?(the maxim)". YES officer!! Take it and fuck off, please!

I think we all got off the hook b/c my buddys dad is a pig(cop). Close call.

I guess I've never had any problems with the law yet. the only close call for me was when my friend took me to a Sum 41 concert. we both smoked up before and came to it totally blazed. when we entered the building security guys were doing the typical weapons search and I realized I still had my pipe in my pocket, full of fresh weed. so I was stoned, paranoid, and worried they'd find it. I get to the door, the guy pats me down, then gets to the pocket. he feels the pipe, runs his fingers all over it, realizes it's a pipe (not a weapon) and just smiles and says "alright, go on through". glad he was cool about it.

This didnt happen to me but it did to my friends. They were driving with bud on them and made an illegal turn a cop pulled em over and gave them a ticket. He found the bud but only asked if they knew of big dealers. They lied and said no and the cop just gave them the ticket. Cool guy as I hear.

I heard if you tell them no they can get a K-9 sent over, and if the dog starts acting crazy then they have probable cause. So in my opinion, it's better you let them search, because a dog would have found that shit reeeeeeeeal fuckin quick. Last time a cop searched my car, I was so high I left a joint on the dashboard, unlucky for me, the S.O>B. found it.

yea i hate cops and especially at night, i walk around with friends doing nothing wrong and looking normal and cops just come over to us and usually the one cop calls another and they usually attempt to search us

oh yea and this happens to me half the time, I tell the cop i know that hes not allowed to search without a probable cause and the prick usually says "y dont u want me to search u, do u have something to hide, what u said gives me a probable cause"^^^^^BULLSHIT^^^^^
