I know that this thread has already been made, and I also know that this thread should be the Feedback and Suggestions forum, but I think it's a great idea and was wondering what everybody else thought (i'm well aware that the Feedback and Suggestions forum doesn't get half as many visitors as The Lounge).

So, the suggestion, made by thechronic, was that there should be a seperate moderator for each forum. I agree, but as this message board isn't as largely populated as some I would like to suggest something else. I personally think it would be adequate (not that the current mods or number thereof is inadequate) to have a seperate moderator for each group of forums, each moderator being designated to that group and that group only.

For example The Lounge would need a couple of mods as it is used most often, but The Lounge comes under the Cannabis.com Community group (which incorperates The Lounge, Introduce Yourself, Feedback and Suggestions, etc), so perhaps there should be a couple of mods who only patrol the Cannabis.com Community group of forums.. Similarly, each group (Cannabis Cafe, Cannabis Connection, Lifestyles and Fun, Politics and Legal, etc) would have a number (the number depending on the amount of people who frequent each particular group of forums and the amount of hits/posts they get) of moderators who only patrol their designated group. Of course, current mods such as del..., Lulu, Beeblebrox420, Zandor, Hunny, and the rest would be 'general' mods who patrol the boards as a whole and keep the other mods in check :rolleyes:. Or not. Just a suggestion.

I just thought you were taking the piss, but if you weren't (or even if you were) then it's cool. I don't wanna start an argument so, again, I apologise. :)

While it seems to be a good idea on the face of it, in practice, it simply means more headaches for all concerned. We'd have to basically double the number of current mods to implement the suggestion, with little return. The boards aren't that busy, and even though we can't possibly read every post, we catch the vast majority of objectionable material, I believe. I can't speak for the other mods, but my email address is readily available, and if someone sees a post they believe we should act on, they should email me or one of the other moderators. That is the single best way you folks can help us out. I agree we could use more eyes on the fora, but I'm not so sure that more moderators is the answer.
