I do have one plant that i just took from soil and put in system 3 days ago that looks great....

How hot is your room? What lifecycle are you in? The nuts depend on the phase of your plant... The General Hydroponics website has a phase cycle. Find what phase you are in and add accordingly. Also, do you have hard water, ro, or what water source are you using??? I view my tank and when the water is turning from an orange to a ruby color your ppm is too high. Do you add water ever 2-3 days to dilute the concentrate?

I have good water were I live But I still let it sit for 24 hrs.. to evap any chlorine. looks like nutes were getting to concetrated..I had a plant still in soil the same hight as the ones in hydro and it was fine and still is so not the light ....thank you for the info on adding water....How often do i add water? Daily? When do I change solution weekly or bi weekly?

You will have good bud starting out slow with the nuts. I would start with 1/2 of the suggested for the 5th week. If you think you are burnning them, pour 1/3 to 1/2 of your tank out and fill with water. This will dilute it and prevent you from having to waste nuts. Remember, if you are using a medium that absorbs liquid, the medium will release some of the built up nuts and raise the level even after adding water. Unless you are going to flush them?? Your water with the nuts should be a nice amber to light orange color. Time to add water is dependent on how much the plant is taking in. Check your tank and make sure you are keeping the level up. I change my tank once a week. While it's empty, I wipe down with a towel to remove any nut build up. The plants will do well without overpowering the nuts. I used 1/2 strength of all my nuts until I got the hang of mixing. Also, are you adding your Micro first?? If you are using any bloom boosters that should be first, then micro before anything else.

Thank you so much for the help... Thats what I will do add water, I added three gallons to a five gallon start almost half diluted ...see what happens ...how soon will they recover after diluting? and only couple of leaves on plant towards the bottom like the first set of fan leaves are turning ...should i cut them off? or let them completly die? I am getting ready to change tank soon...I will use only half strength this time... I would like to change light cycle to see the sex soon I need a mom plant to clone from...can't afford seeds or the risk of bying them sent in the mail any sugg? Will the go through any additional stress when i change the light cycle? should I wait untill they are compl. healthy again first? Thanks again!!!! hope I can keep asking u questions as I go

The first set of leaves on the very bottom usually do dry up. Those TWO should ony be turning. As for the other leaves, if you notice drying on the ends, I clip JUST the dried part of the leaf. You need those fan leaves! They supply the sugar to the buds and you don't want to clip any off unless it's dire straits. I have nut burned my plants before and they responded well after I ajusted the ppm. Flowering has not been a source of stress for my plants unless done too early. You are at week five and I would flower if I were you. Stress causes are heat and over fertilizing. I blow a fan on my babies to thicken their stalk up a bit. Remember that your plant usually doubles in size after you begin flowering. If your bottom leaves are the only ones effective, you may not be burnning them. It may just be the sprout leaf and they die off anyway. These babies are pretty durable.

When I went to your site, there are about 15 ppm readers on one page. Which ever you choose, be sure to purchase ppm and ph meter calabration solution. They make it for both your meters and it's an important solution that calibrates the solution before your reading. It's not complicated to use. The instructions are very user friendly on the calibration solution as well.
I wish you Good growing!
