around how much would I get off these plants? I mean say I have 5 average sized weed plants, they're all really healthy, how many ounces would that be? would I need considerably more/less plants for say 4-5 ounces? sorry, I know this sounds dumb, but I really have no idea, and would like to grow my own.

Well you see, that question is impossible to answer.
strain? health? nutes? lights? ventilation? general care? how long did you veg for? soil?
All of those come into play. The only way to know how much you would get is to just do it. Your questions can only be answered by doing it. Good luck

EDIT: btw, sorry about the wrong forum, didn't realize there's a grow section.
well, I guess there's no solid answer, but let me ask this: in that other thread from Surry B.C. where he as that huge-ass plastic container, how many plants did he grow to fill that up? I guess I'm just more wondering if one full-sized healthy plant would give me 4 joints or 20 ounces or what.

I don't know how many plants he grew to fill that tub up. A lot of hard work and about 20 plants I'm guessing.
Well 1 full sized plant, it all comes down to strain again, if grown properly and well cared for, after about 5 weeks of veg, anywhere from 1-4ounces. I flower my plants only after about 3-4 weeks of veg. I flower when they are 1ft high, and they usually finish around 4ft, I usually get 1.5-2 ounces a plant.
Again, it's very hard to say. Do you have any current pictures? That would help a whole lot. If your plants are 100% healthy in the veg stage, you are going to have a nice outcome in flowering. If your plants are not so healthy, overfed, underwatered, leaves dying off, then the flowering outcome will not be so great.
Give us some more info on your plants(size, health, strain) and we will be able to answer your questions more accuratly.
