SIMPLE QUESTION ABOUT FLOWERS...

Ok, this may be a stupid question but I need to know nontheless...when a plant shows sex...when the white hairs come out and show its a female, are the hairs preflowers or is it flowering? if not, then what do the flowers look like and when do they turn to buds??? sorry bout the lack of knowledge but thats why I am asking. the white hairs and the pod they grow out of are the flowers. eventually they will cluster up into buds and the plant will also start to grow less leaves. a pre-flower is just a few small flowers that will sprout out during the vegg stage indicating that the plant wants to begin the flowering process.

If treated with TLC (not thc) they will show for you around day 28.... Somewhere when sex is determined around the end of weeks 3 & 4.

You have to be very very observant to see them...but there they are and you will see.

I have a pic of some of mine here....you gotta look close cuz i didnt get a clear pic of them but there they are....

Again preflowers will 'sometimes' show...most of the time if there has been almost no stress.

sounds to me like it "is" flowering. are the topps getting covered in the hairs?

You will see a pod and the two little cunt hairs sticking out of it.

Preflowers dont generally have pods you can see too well.

A full blown flower pod is a sight of beauty even before it opens.

These are definately pre=flowers only.

You will start flowering in mid to end July now.

Make sure you keep the bugs off...

well I was trimmer happy.. figured every trim produced two more... well im done trimming now.. hope i didn't fuk it up.. :eek:

I have learned the trimming lesson the HARD WAY....
I have grown for 10+yrs (outdoor).
ok ill try another epic post..lol..

I found that when I clipped My Larger Shade leaves that its wasnt the bset idea..

when they go to flower the little peice of stem that goes to the Big Shadies is what the Larger Buds are supported on.
so If you snip em then the bud that forms at that junction will be NOWHERE as big or juicy if you had left it there because it cannot be supported.
so be carfull when snippin shade leaves only take the dead ones off.;)

won't be much longer before i begin top'n a few of them

i'm not sure if i will top them all or not
i really want to see some of the differnce inbetween
the non topped and normal plants :p

Clipping those large fan leaves will affect both bud size and potency. THey are feeder leaves which support the flowering process in a very intricate way.

NEVER cut or chop off the fan leaves no matter how tempting it can be.

Hot temps make them larger and I have that problem right now, but still, cant chop them off.

The buds need them, especially the last 2 or 3 weeks of flowers.

You will have to fert right up to the end now as your fan leaves are gone.

May make for a very harsh smoke too.

The ones you do not top, need to be tied down now and bent over and give the secondary grow shoots an oppty to thrive.

i already tied down 4 plants that far more ahead in growing

As I have stated over and over again, use clones you can't go far wrong. Also, you mentioned that your girls are flowering and asked when they will turn into buds? Well those flowers are the buds...just give them some time. And P.S. they look pretty damn good to me.
