Saw the Ramones 5 times back in their heyday. They always played small clubs around where I was (NJ) at the time. Twice I had a table right by the stage. I could've blown smoke in Joey's face -- if I'd wanted too.

The second time I saw them they blew all the power out in the small club I was at and it turned into a riot. Got out of there, but did not get money back for the tickets.

Saw The Ramones w/ Patti Smith in 1979 on my college campus gym. Needless to say it was a loud and wild night.

The Ramones were the greatest in their day. Early psuedo-punk rock. Slammin. Lots of songs about drugs and being messed up. You must see the movie "Rock 'n Roll High School" to understand. RENT IT NOW !!!
