Sometimes I listen to Cat Stevens, what can I say, he's a mellow guy. Along those lines, I got some James Taylor too.
Also just stuff that most of my stoner/music-nerd friends think is objectionable, like I happen to enjoy Neil Young's Harvest Moon album, and Undermind, Phish's last album. And Beck. C'mon, who doesn't like Beck.
And also Weather Report, I listen to it for the interest, it's rich shit but very goofy 70s fusion stuff, if you heard it you would probably laugh.

Don't know if it's a "gulity pleasure" since I think its a really awesome song but what about Low Rider by WAR. The horns and that funky beat, man it's a great stoner tune.
Take a little trip, take a little trip, take a little trip with me

I like Frank Sinatra. Every now and then I get into a mood where I love the old jazz vocal and martini lounge stuff. Frank, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Bille Holiday. Good stuff

Well, back in the day (before I started smoking buddha) I used to listen to JROCK and JPOP. I'd try to hide it as much as possible because I was embarassed.
Nowadays, I don't have any guilty pleasure listenings...

I will probably rue the day I placed this message but here goes!! I'm well into Drum and Bass and Hardcore, but on a Sunday morning Comedown session we always get the FREE CD OUT OF THE NEWSPAPER! SATURDAYS PAPER HAS THE PARTY VIBES, THEN SUNDAY YOU GET THE REAL CHILLED CD!
Without fail we always stop for a paper at the shop at silly o clock in the morning!!
Often consisting of Police, Sting and loadsa other crap we would ordinerally not listen to!!

but it was cher who did bang bang...flip side of needles and pins before her gypsys, tramps and thieves saga...
Cher Lyrics
Bang Bang
Bang bang, you shot me downBang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful soundBang bang, my baby shot me down
I was five and you were sixWe rode on horses made of sticks
I wore black, you wore whiteYou would always win the fight
Bang bang, you shot me downBang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful soundBang bang, my baby shot me down
Seasons came and changed the timeI grew up, I called you mine
You would always laugh and sayRemember when we used to play
Bang bang, you shot me downBang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful soundBang bang, my baby shot me down
Music played and people sangJust for me the church bells rang
After echoes from a gunWe both vowed that we'd be one
Now you're gone I don't know whySometimes I cry
You didn't say goodbyeYou didn't take the time to lie
Bang bang, you shot me downBang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful soundBang bang, my baby shot me down

I should also list Frank Sinatra, the Mills Bros (like 1930s shit), some Glen Miller stuff that gets me laughed at, John Prine, Elliot Smith and the Velvet Underground. I'm not really ashamed of it, it's music I enjoy, but these are the things that I can't play when I have friends over because they'll only gripe.
Well, I have like two friends who listen to Velvet Underground.

Prince? Sinatra, et al?! Neil Young?!? James Taylor!??!!?!?!? I can't see how these could qualify as "guilty pleasures" on any planet. Now, something like Jessica (or worse, Ashlee) Simpson would be a guilty pleasure, due to the complete lack of musical merit, but I'm having trouble accepting that some of the most iconic and influential artists from the twentieth century are on people's "embarrasing music" lists.
Now for my submission: I constantly rock out to Andrew WK, but am hard pressed to admit it. It's extremely one-dimensional music, but when you're talking about a big hairy guy in really dirty clothes who just likes to show up and party, one dimension is all you need.

Hey--I have NO shame in my musical pleasures! I get a lot of "eye rolling" from my husband, but no shame on my part! Yep, I agree that many of the artists listed in this thread have pure, raw talent--which is why we like them!
How about if I say....Gerardo, of "Rico Suave" fame? Well, that's the only song of his I know....okay, how about Vanilla Ice???

Fighter--Christina Aguilera (that's a good one to shout at the top of the lungs when pissy at a guy who's done ya wrong)
Don McLean... just about anything other than American Pie, which I like but don't really consider a 'guilty' pleasure, since other people could tolerate it
Justin Timberlake... entire Justified album. He's so bubblegum & pretty boy, but I can't help it, lol! I think this album has some lovely dancey stuff going on which I think has more to do with NERD than J-Tim.
John Denver, Pointer Sisters, BeeGees, & anything else my parents listened to when I was a kid (& they wonder where I get my odd musical taste from).
Irie Allie... where on earth does one find albums of porn music? Inquiring minds must know! :)
