What to do am i being paranoid ?

Last night i did not sleep not one wink so i turned on the tv in bed at about 1 am i seen this thing called 4 corners about how many mentally ill people are in prison in America and not recieving medical attention (this was a prison in ohio).I started to cry i felt so sorry for some of them poor guys there it seems Americans to to jail for farting and it seems the law system spends alot of time on petty crims rather than finding or capturing hard crims.I woke my bf up so i could show him because it was exactly like i was treated and some of those guys seem just like me and even saying the same bullshit that i did when i had psychosis.It was scary shit as i have never actually seen another person with such a severe illness acting exactly the same as i did.All hard criminals such as murderers are sent to a prison mental hospital when they act up too much and they are so medicated that they dont even know what day of the week it is so they assume that they are no longer a danger and put them back in maximum security where they are back at square 1 and its like a vicious circle for them.All of the guys that were released did end up back there soon after as when they are out they think the dont need medication anymore and i know how that feels so the relapse with violence etc and are back in the can.Apparently there are 500,000 people in prisons there with a diagnosed mental condition.When i seen the mental health workers assesing one of the men they seemed foolish and coldhearted to me and did not really care if the person got out or not and also looking down on them with no respect at all.Anyways that was a really sad thing for me to see.Why cant they make a program for those people to help there condition rather than making it worse by locking them in a cell that honestly only makes matters worse.They spend all there money on locking people up that spit or steal a push bike whatever its ridiculous honestly did anyone see that at all ? The criminal system must waste billions every year on non important things so now i can see why all you people who smoke weed there are paranoid of getting caught i wouldnt even smoke if i lived there.

i must say that is a big load to try to carry .
sadly its true there are mental patients mis treated all the time that way,some are a danger to others and They cause the rest to be judged and locked away
there should be more help,but who is to pay for it,surely not the sound of mind and body ,they think it has no effect on them ,or something
yet it does in so many ways,they want to be above it all by locking them up
out of sight out of mind,yep thats it,put them in a box and drug them up.

i dont fear arrest for weed,or i would not be on this site or any website saying i grow i smoke and they can kiss my ass for thinking im a criminal
alot of them need put away no doubt,but they just mix in anyone regardless of how ill you are or your intentions,
the laws of this great usa are made to cater to the rich,so that means 99% of the mentally ill will just do time,and not be helped,
see the rich can will have so many lawyers and doctors getting them off getting them help.meds and ect. while the poor has some state asshole deem them FLAWED and lock them up if they so much as spit on a sidewalk,
i love my country but the courts are FUCKED up and UNJUST

Yup, that's "Bushies" good old USA. You should see how the cops disrespect a gay couple if found being intimate in car. With hetero's it's move along. With gays it is " Book em Danno" for lewd conduct. This results in getting outed in the paper because where I live, the daily rag LOVES that stuff. Regardless of anyones opinion on gay people, it shows how F'd up the priorities in the US are.

You get a brand new perspective of these issues when you have to see them from the inside out, rather then the outside in.

I once was in a ward for crazy adolescents pretty much, and I had to share my room with a guy who hated black people and called them niggers all the time. All he would talk about is how much he hated niggers, nigger this, nigger that. I was surrounded by these people with whom the only thing I had in common was the fact that I was deemed a malfunctioning unit, just as they were

I went into the ward sane and suicidal and came out scared, lonely, still suicidal,and felt like I could relate to no one BUT, I was putting on the face they wanted! I got out in three days because I was normal and they knew it compared to alot of the other people there. Three days felt like a year there. I had to pretend so much.

Those places for the mentally ill aren't really there to treat them it seems, but more to contain them without killing them. Very little brain stimulus, nothing good to read. I could color in coloring books.... I was fucking 15 and they wanted me to color in coloring books and they're wondering why I was weird. -laughs- A 15 year old and they give me the option to color or stare at a white wall.

Those places are the worst of vicious cycles.

Anyway, there's nothing you can do about it. It's definately sad though that the mentally ill get treated like dog shit/a 4 year old.

There is fine line in american justice. If people have mental problems that cause them to kill ppl or hurt kids, then you put them in a psych ward for a while? Unfortunately no country has a perfect. Hey, we are doing the best we can.......I once saw a story about a guy who was in vietnam and he snapped and killed his whole family. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and stayed a few months in a loony bin, then he was released only to start a new family and kill them too. Its hard to know who is capable of rehabing and whos not.
