Benadryl doses?

I know you can hook down lots of diphenhydramine in order to get a Datura-style hallucination experience, but that's not what I'm looking for. I wanna know how many I should take just to get "heavier" than usual, without really tripping. I'm not looking for a buzz, I've just been working on lucid dreaming and a little astral projection stuff (since I accidentally did it to myself fairly recently and got so agitated about it that I did some research).

So yeah, I have a bunch of pills with only diphenhydramine, 25mg each. Erowid doesn't seem to be online now (??) so I figure I ought to ask here.

i would take gravol instead, as it is pure diminehydrinate(dramamine) 12 pills to trip usually so id go with 6?

Well in case anybody else is interested in using these things as a dream aid instead of a full-on trip, I have decided that in accordance with the dosage thing:


Oral Diphenhydramine Dosages
(Recreational)
Threshold -- 10mg
Light -- 25-150 mg
Common -- 150-300 mg
Strong -- 250-500 mg
Heavy -- 400-700
LD50 (Lethal Dose*) -- 500 mg/kg in rats


...and based on this (http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=5808) experience report, I'm gonna take eight pills. I'm gonna be in my room and I'm gonna stay up for two hours after I take them, but when I start to feel the trippy effects I'm gonna let myself doze off and hope they translate into dreamspace.

btw, drugs don't really help with accomplishing those very well.. At least not from my expierence.

well if you can get some trazodone(anti depressent) it can give you some crazy dreams plus it makes you sleepy. But i love benadryl although it never gave me weird dreams

if you want some interesting dreams, take a few shots of absinthe before bed. I did it before with friends and none of use really got messed up or anything but the one thing we all had in common was we had weird realistic dreams.
