i like how the biggest part of that article is about how he thinks he's still the leader of iraq.
i can't decide how i feel about him though. on the one hand, he's a human being, and its sad that he gets zero personal privacy.
on the other hand he has done some pretty fucking evil shit.

good point. but i'm sure that even if its not like that, its gotta be worse. i mean... our government might not do everything right, but when they capture somebody who does things like lock a bunch of people in a complex and threaten them with bioweapons, they're not gonna just let him be alone all day to come up with some scheme. even though i'm sure they could build him a house with no doors or windows and have guards on teh outside and just let him live. like give him tv but no way to talk to anybody on the outside. but why would they waste tax dollars on that... they'd rather spend them sending cancer patients to prison

i found this oddly funny
(For a time his favorite snack was Cheetos, and when that ran out, Saddam would "get grumpy," the story said. One day, guards substituted Doritos corn chips, and Saddam forgot about Cheetos. "He'd eat a family size bag of Doritos in 10 minutes," Dawson said.)
where my fucking cheetos????????????????????
if only a lil bit of what they say he has done is true
then he deserves every misery Legally allowed.

I dunno, I kinda felt a little sorry for him...the way he looked all deshevelled when he was on TV...I dont believe hes completely innocent but I don't believe some of the allegations against him...Don't get me started ;)

Yeh, i think he even killed some relative of his or something :(

As hard as it might be to believe, he is still a human being with feelings and emotions, a sense of wrong and right (though if the rumours and allegations are true his sense of right and wrong is different to that of the average person), and he still eats, sleeps and shits the same as the rest of us. Power can corrupt people like no other.. Why is it so hard to believe that he eats Doritos and doesn't mind posing for pictures (he is a politician, after all!)?
Also, it is wrong to say he has no conscience; just because his sense of morality is different (some may say warped) to our own it doesn't necessarily mean he is wrong (in this case I feel that the things he did were wrong [or different to the way I would have done things]. But this is not always the case.) Sure, he [supposedly] did some horrific things, for which there is no excuse, but you shouldn't look at him as some sort of monster or demon, just a very sick person. :)

I like him. Not in the sense that he killed lots of people, but he seems like a pretty smart man. He wanted alot of power and he had it. He ran his country the way he thought he should. who knows if it was right or wrong. Maybe killing lots of people in the world is the way to go. I dont know what is right or wrong anymore

Can anyone say mass graves...
KottonMouthSara

thats gross...but i reckon Bush and Saddam are as bad as eachother....Even if Bush didn't personally kill anyone (or did he??) or produce mass graves, or kill people from certain religions,...his corrupt way has caused thousands of deaths...
Look at Iraq.....Have they found what their point was??
Look at Palestine...Bush is helping Ariel Sharon with weapons and helping his army, when all they are doing is uprooting innocent civilians and killing thousand of people...True, the Palestinians have done their fair share of awful suicide bombs to the Israeli people...but it goes way back...These people have suffered torment, torture and humiliation from the Israeli's.

OMG he's sooo evil... but then, I agree that Bush is too. I heard a thing on NPR last week about the place where Saddam gassed thousands of his own people (villages of women, children, pregnant ladies, elderly, all gassed, with NO warning). The grief & pain that still permeates the area & was evident in the people's voices was pure heartbreaking. But then, I also cry when I think of what Bush is doing.
Regardless, what I found most ridiculous about that yahoo article was the pic of Saddam, all coppin' a pose & stuff. Come ON... it's so stupid!!!

I find it rediculous that anyone would compare ANY American president to Saddaam. Its just stupid, why dont you goo look up some actual FACTS before making stupid comments you got from Michael Moore, you brainless Bush-bashers.

No american president has ever been as evil as Saddam (unless there's some kind of dead body pit in Texas I don't know about)....this is trure. And personaly I couldn't give a flying crap how "hard" prision life is for him.
He's eating Cheetoes for fucks sake...

Really, he ought to be roasted over a slow fire, as he would do the same to your 1 year old daughter in a heartbeat.

I wasn't comparing Bush to Saddam, just saying that I believe he is evil as well, since it had already been raised. I think they both are evil, but I also believe child-molesters are evil... doesn't mean I'm comparing either one of them to that. My sorrow regarding Bush has nothing to do with Michael Moore... I could care less about him.
'Course, not even sure you're referring to me, but that's my response just in case. :)

he has some mental things, one of which being no conscience (sp?) and even thoguh he worked very hard to get to where he was most of that was killing people. im sure he's a pretty decent guy to the people he knows but i wouldn't want to be someone who pissed him off... but that pic of him is funny, how the hell did they get him to pose like that?
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050621/ap_on_re_mi_ea/saddam_s_guards_16
i have no pity for him and hope he thinks about his blindfold color.

The killings of Shi'ite men from Dujail -- by some accounts over 140 -- pale in comparison with some of the accusations against Saddam
1988 Anfal campaign against the Kurds, during which poison gas killed 5,000 civilians at Halabja.
