Very nice concept indeed.....Very nice.
I question the following:
1. Why so many frickin plants in each container? Just playing the odds for germination?
2. THe mirror in the back...it needs to go. It will eat more light than it reflects.
3. What are you going to do to add more light? I think they are needing more....
4. What are your plans for when they get 5 feet tall and need 3X the light and room?
I think I might even look at this for something to build off of.....
Nice job :)

Thx
1. well...ummm.. its now going to be an odds game.
2. I do not understand the whole eat light theory..
3. currently 4 4 foot, 3150 lumers, 4100k color temp are shinning down.
4. plan to keep the lights moving up 2 inches from tops not going to let them grow wider than than 22 inches mirror to mirror. once the 4 main lights are 48 inches off ground I will ad 4 more bulbs vertically 1 set of 2 bulbs each end.
what happens if the two bigs ones; (ones that grew on other side of fence in a feild where ash tray debris was being tossed) start to come up as males? well what the fuck id say. IF those 2 come up as females all others will be pulled if males.
the mirrors are going to refect and keep refelecting.. bouncin that light around and around.. lighting up areas of soil and plants. about to get one for the bottom to bounce light back up.. the lights aren't just bouncing back into each other. bulds are round and emit light from every direction, mirrors take advantage of this.

cool set up! look's like something simular to what I use to have,I used 6 shop lights and did well even during flowering of course the buds were real loose! but the smoke was great!.good job dude....p.s. good luck trying to prevent your plants from fighting with one another for room in the pots! lol...

If you dont pull those other plants now, you wont have any. You are growing way too many in a pot.
One per is all you need.
As for the mirrors, well have it your way, but they do not work...they will just burn your plants and bake your roots.
Besides, here is how your plant should look on Day 18.....
Your light set up as it stands will fail your plants reaching their full genetic potential....
Good Luck

at least you pulled some thats a start in the right way. now just rip off that aluminum foil, feert when needed, got some reflective sheets for growing to max the light from your lights, get more air flow in and out, and cut those plants so they stay short because floros will only work on short plants and your in business. i know a lot about growing ask what you need. you got to put more work into that.peace

cut near the top and they will go more horizontal than vertical

AngryJohnny,
I not getting a hard on over your grow. :)
Not yet :)
But I need to ask...what part of ONE PLANT PER POT is it you don;t get?
If you think that you are going to veg them for 60 days, then sex them, then kill off the ones you dont want....it wont happen bro!
They will die long before they get that far.
As we speak, those roots are binding into one another already.
That will prevent the plants, ALL OF THEM, from growing at normal rates.
They are already competing for nutes, cO2, minerals and soil root space.
Too much competition for good grow.
They will peter out very rapidly once they reach the breaing point.
Anyhow, I do wish you the best of luck.,....
HAPPY 6 PLANTS TO A POT :) :) :)

that shit is gonna go rootbound real quick......all those plants and its to late to seperate them...you will tear the roots and stunt the growth .....the setup is ok to just get seedlings going but that one 4 ft floro wont cut it in the long run....next time just plant one seed per pot...if your worried about gerination rate use paper towel that way you know the seed is good b4 u plant it.....PEACE

Two in One Ballast. Can be toggled with one switch from MH to HPS and back again. (Be sure to switch lamps when you toggle from HPS to MH)
10â?? Socket Assembly
Light Hood Reflector

-One Metal Halide 1000w lamp
-One High Pressure Sodium 1000w lamp. (This lamp burns at 145,000 lumens)

WHY is 400w more money?
have a feeling I do not not need that much light.... DO THEY !?!?
Is the 600watt more gonna cost much more electric?

Hey bro what good is your fan gonna do on top of the lights????
Set a fan to blow right across the canopy of the plants between the lights. You can get the lights with in 1/2" with good breeze.
I like the arena setup you have created.
But you're really gonna need to blow the air both across the plant tops and out of the arena.
Nice work.
Your lights are fine for right now and should be fine for the next 3 or 4 weeks if you keep them really really close to the foilage, which you can with the fan.
I still prefer CFL over MH for veggin indoors but just get a 600W HPS for flower and you'll be fine.

Hey THX
there is a fan on pot level blowing accross 4 pots.
the fan blowing down actually blows a round a little itself and blows the lights just a bit.. its also moving air around in there..its just circulating air around.
its staying pretty cool below those lights..
with more lighting I can face the fan to blow away if heat needs to be pulled away.. Got room for more fans too.
sooo should I get one or more shop light with two 4 ft bulbs?
OR
get the cheapest deal I can find on HID which means 1000w?
CFL is what?

how bout 400w setup MH for veggie with the 4 flouros bulbs have going?
could arange the flouros on the sides with MH in the middle shining down.
With this setup am able to move things very easy.. plants lights fans.
then have the HPS 400w for flowerin... could the flouros be used along with HPS also ? on the sides?
If get the set with MH and HPS, what else needs to be added?
 thx for the help

CFL are true Compact Florescents.
THey are very expensive to get the good proper ones, but they are superior to the cheapos running around.
Here is the deal though angry johnny.
(man I luv that fucking name dude...dont know why but I do :D)
You are going to need an HID to flower NO MATTER what you use for flowering.
But 1000W is overkill for the 4 plants you have.
Beleive it or not, there is some solid evidence that flowering WITH BOTH HPS AND MH produce a more potent resin, than flowering with HPS alone.
The over lapping light spectrum is ideal for resin production.
So if I were you, or you were me, I would go for a DUAL MH & HPS setup for flowering and get some CFL for vegging and lose the tubes you got.
Thats if budget isnt an issue....
These are the lights you want for vegging:
http://www.hydroasis.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=H&Product_Code=0323400
1 for each plant will do you very well...very very well.... You can use for full veg cycle with these.
If you wish to use MH/HPS setup for flowering or just HPS I think this is the best place with price from reputable dealer who stands beside what they sell...
http://discounthydro.com/superspectrum.asp
Again, flowering is superior for resin production with overlapping light spectrum. Primarily because of the MH discharge of UV Rays.
MJ plants apparently use resin production to protect from UV Rays....the MH will add to that...
So, if budget is not an issue, buy the 125W Full Spectrum CFL fro vegging...one per plant and buy the MH / HPS combo Superspecturm for flower.
If you wanna be cheap, just add or plan on adding 4 to 6 more of those tubes that you have now and get an MH/HPS Superspectrum for flower stage.
Really if budget isnt an issue its pretty simple.
Hope I helped......
