why? They are call LESS lethal force. Not non lethal force. If I saw a 350 pound man with a piece of steel, I woulda forgot the taser and shot him.

Yeh but if the 350 pd man saw YOU with a gun he'd shut the fuck up. The more intimidating the better. If tasering is to be used to lessen lethal force but still can enact lethal force then it's become useless.

just like tear gas, battons, your fists, bean bag bullets, etc etc. They have all killed people, however rare it was. All useless by your standards, right? And if a guy is coked out, a gun aint gonna scare him. And a gun is also not very effective in bringing people down. Cops are trained to shoot someone at 25 feet if they charge at them, because thats how far they can run while constantly being shot. A taser will bring you down in a second. And one option wont kill you 99% of the time.

I say useless not due to effect...but due to effectiveness. See, a gun can be used on a 350 pound black man....he might be strung out on coke but if youve played enough halo then you can dodge him easily.

But seriously though, you pull a gun on a coke head then you might still have trouble. Take him down with a taser...no problem. Pull a gun on a 12-year old they shut the fuck up. Pull a taser on a 12-year old take him down with a taser too even though dozens of people have died from its use.

If you dont get what im saying is that tasers arent meant for everyone. Theres a chance the person could die. A gun however, you've still got that last extra stage to get people to calm down and noone has to get hurt

Oh jesus christ...i noticed in my post i said 350 pound BLACK man. Im black so i dont think that can be construed as racist...but in the back of my head i was thinking about that case where that big fat (black) guy was strung out on coke and the police beat him then he died later. It caused debate among the racial community. Anybody remember the story??? I'm not going off topic i just wanted to rectify my slip of mind by saying "black man".

hahahaha. But if a gun fails in its scare tactic, there is no more taser option, theres only time to shoot him with the gun, which is a last resort.
