Hi all.
i have a plant that is around 3 ft. tall , bushy, and each leaves are 3 big ones.
it has a skunky smell to it and it keeps developing branch leaves (is what i call them).. I will post a pic tomorrow so you can actually see it.
my question is has anyone ever seen one with 3 leaves and if so is it an indica strain?

Hmmmm...sounds like you and BobBong are relatives.

HE is asking a sound question. His plant is 3 leaf dominant and is wanting to know if it is indicative of plant genetics / strain.

Its not JUST LEAVES.

To address the question, yes, I have seen a couple of pics of plants here and there with 3 leaf veg.

I do not know the strain or if that is a strain specific feature.

Will wait til you post a pic...

ahh...there's that gap in my life, the gap that can only be filled by a harddon..pussy...it's a shame you didn't bring back any of that Rasta Spirit with you

learningman, if you're refering to the bud spots on the secondary branches then yes.. i too have small 3 leaflette bud spots..where the bud will be forming a few weeks.

I believe it's an indica trait, i'm also growing an indica dominent strain

Generally speaking "I hope I'm remembering it right but if not it's close" Pure indica or mostly indica develops anywhere from 3 to 5 blades on the "compound Leaf" as pure sativa or mostly sativas grow from 5 to 9 blades per compound leaf. Another tell tale sign is indicas have short fat leaves as sativas have long skinny leaves. The high you get is variable considering which genotype you are growing. There are four genotypes in all. Genus Sativa, Genus Indica, Genus Ruderalis and Landrace strains. Landrace strains are wild strains that were the mother to all the different genotypes. Only 4 to 5 landrace strains exist and all cannabis strains were derived from them. Ruderalis has a special capibility called Auto-Flowering and does not require a 12/12 photoperiod to begin showing sex or flower.
But ruderalis is the least potent genotype of cannabis short of hemp which is genetically inbred to produce almost no THC. Now sativa will give you a more cerebral high while indica is more of a narcotic stone giving you a couch-lock feeling. "Generally a more body type stone". Landrace strains are very difficult to find in modern times due to prohibition resulting in the "cull of cannabis". Ok I'm rambling now and I have no idea why I gave you a 2 paragragh awnser to one simple question. Cya later I'm gonna go eat some pot butter. Peace :)
