I'm rather stoned at the moment, so please excuse anything that may come out stupid.

anyway, after using my vaporizer, I've been coughing for like 10 minutes. not in a smoke kind of way, more like in a drowning way. inhaling the vapore, once it's in your lungs, is like inhaling some water, and it felt like water in my lungs, like I'm drowning. it's very unpleasant. though it's just mostly passed now. other people get this right?

even if u did inhale water.... wouldn't it just evaporate. there's already plenty of water vapor in the air anyways, so i'm sure it wouldn't hurt that bad. think of it as a rinse cycle for your lungs.

I think you just got a dirty hit. Dirty hits from a vaporizer are gross as hell. This happens to me when the weed is spent. I'm trying to get one more hit and I end up trying to hard and burning it. It so digusting, because all the thc tasting stuff is gone. It's like the worst schwag you could ever smoke. Makes me cough like a mother fucker.

Your not supposed to inhale any smoke from that lightbulb vaporizer as it is carbon monoxide. You are just supposed to inhale the colorless vapor when you swirl the lighter under it. You can't see it but it's there. I clearly stated that in my "Homemade Vaporizer Construction" thread. If you inhaled smoke it's exactly like sucking on a car exhaust pipe which yes can kill you but it is probable you would be rendered unconsious first.

also, in regards to what zero was saying, I'm not getting any smoke ( at least I don't think it's smoke), but it's not invisible either, it's just a clear looking "vapor", or at least I thought that's what it is.

You have to understand a vaporizer will force more THC into your body than anything else will short of eating "magic brownies" so is it possible you never got that high before?

Heres an example- i personally grow Northern Lights#5 which has a THC content of about 20%. However that does not mean that when you use it you are getting 20% THC. Smoking that type of weed in a blunt will only get you 3 to 5% of the possible 20%. Using a vaporizer knocks your dick in the dirt at anywhere from 11% to 15%. That's a big difference.

Zero - I know your not supposed to take smokey hits from a vaporizer, but when your stoned and want to get another hit out of spent weed, shit like that happens. Also... what you said about getting more thc in you is bullshit. Vaporizing is the most EFFICIENT way of getting thc in your system. Basically what this means, is with the same amount of weed, you will get more thc in your blood, but if you smoke a lb of weed and vape .5 grams I guarentee there will be more thc in you sytem from smoking the lb. Granted thats alot of wasted thc, because you only have so many thc receptors in your brain bla bla bla bla. The point is, vaporizing is effiecient, it doesn't mean the most stoned you will ever get is with vaporizer. Also... when you burn weed in a vaporizer... thats the same as burning the weed in a joint/bowl/blunt/etc. There maybe carbon monoxide, but its not enough to kill you. Otherwise when you would smoke bowls you would die. It's just gross as hell ina vaporizer because chances are you've already removed some/most/all of the cannaboids which are tastier.

Did you not understand anything the man said? He said you get a lot more THC when using a vaporizer than if you used a plain old pipe/bong. Of course if you smoke a POUND OF WEED and only vaporize 1/2 a gram, the smoking would get you higher. Fucking duh dude. He was just saying, the vaporizer is more efficient, and if you are using comparable amounts of weed, you'll get much higher using a vaporizer.

Yes, I understood very well what he said. I was merely emphasizing the fact that vaporizing is more efficient not an end all most high experience. He NEVER made a comment that indicated the efficiency aspect, and comments like

Conotate that you are phsically unable to reach the same high from conventional methods of weed consumption as opposed to vaporizing. I meant no disrespect, I hope I didn't come off like a dick to either of you, I merely want to share information.

I say both of you should smoke a bowl and relax.

I use my vaporgenie all the time. (www.vaporgenie.com - 50 bucks includes shipping.. :p ) I rarely overheat the herb, but it does happen on occasion. This is a bummer, but it's certainly not the end of the world, and it's sure as hell not gonna kill me. I can tell you, however, from first hand experience that you can get much higher using a vaporizer if you vape the same amount of weed as you might normally smoke. High temperatures can degrade THC, meaning that the hotter you get the herb, the more THC you're burning. You'll still get a lot of it, but not all of it. So, naturally following, the vaporizer will allow more THC to be absorbed in one sesh than smoking might, but the CBD, CBN abd CBA produced from burning the weed may also be helping to get you high.

In fact, it could be the combinatiion of some or all of the chemicals produced in burning weed that produce the exact high you want (since nobody's really done enough testing on this). You may, personally, get higher smoking than I might vaporizing.

But in the end, it's all relative. What's good for me may not be good for you, and there's no sense in arguing about it. I would suggest trying a vaporizer a few times of you never have, but that's all I can say. The choice between smoke and vapor is personal. Either way, I stopped using a lightbulb as soon as I physically could, and I would advise you do the same.

I started vaping with a light bulb. It worked well... but when I overheated the weed it sure sucked!!!

I just got a chance to bring my VaporGenie to my friends in a different town, and they really enjoyed it. They got really high, and (because they didn't have any weed of their own and I was supplying) I didn't have to waste all my stash smoking them out. Vaping is really efficient.

It is a different high, though. More of a head high for me, but my friend says it is more of a body high for him. Weird.

I still love smoking joints. It is an art, I think... and the high from a joint is always distinct.

Oh... no one's been dissapointed with my VaporGenie yet! I reccommmend them to all stoners!
