We the people.
We the people around the country are supporting Medical Marijuana. 10 states have voted to allow Medical Marijuana and more states are moving towards allowing its use as well.
The purpose of Congress I thought was to elect people who would represent the people of his or her state? The people have decided that we want Medical Marijuana and the trend is growing with more then 65% of America supporting the drug. How can the House ignore what the people want? We did not elect these people so the can ignore us, that is why we vote. So what has happened is the people voted in 10 states and won but Congress like a dictator said, "Your vote does not mean shit and you must suffer with your pain or go to prison if you are caught.
What is the point in a democracy? Congress needs to support democracy and listen to the people when they vote, voting is our way of changing laws and when the people vote to change a law, congress should not deny the people when they win.
How free are we any ways if are voice is not heard in the land of the free and what does it say to the world when we insist other countries become a democracy when Americas Democracy is not followed by Congress?
Maybe I am wrong about what a democracy is?
