That's the impeachment draft for ol' Bushy boy. I'm asking all of you...and yes even assterdam, are any of these allegations a lie? an outright bold-faced lie? if so, then do you support impeachment? do you believe the downing st. memo isnt incriminating?

I'de sure like to hear justification for that one.

Bush defeated the Taliban and Al Queada. He was our hero after 9/11. Damn it.....Bush is America. Being against Bush is like being against George Washington, baseball, Mom and apple pie. Why can't you Bush hating, America bashing, terrorists understand that.

lets put ourselves in Bush's shoes when he leaves office like 20 secret service police will be with him at all times thats ok for Bill Cliton but Bush needs a army he made some high profile enemies. That said if i was him i would use every trick i could come up with to stay in office. So your saying what kind of trick could this guy use right ? Me i would let the currency collaspe and declare a state of emergency the president stays in power until the emergency lifts. What would you do if you were him?

Fengzi

I've put myself in Bush's shoes but dumb and stupid didn't feel so good so I switched back to my own.

I'd like to say let's not give Bush any ideas but I'm pretty confident that he already has a whole gang of people dreaming up possible strategies for him to become overlord. It's not like they're busy worrying about domestic policy anyhow. Besides, like the point I was trying to make earlier, after 9/11 the republicans have put Bush up on a very high pedestal. Whatever Bush does he does to protect America so to be a good patriot you have to go along with Bush. In right leaning, conservative middle America that goes a long, long way. That's why he beat Kerry. I mean, do you really think Bush could have won a 2nd term if 9/11 never happened.

Fengzi

One other interesting thing, look at the states where Bush won and the states where Kerry won. Then look at which states are known for their educations of higher learning, high tech industries, finance industries, etc. In other words the places with high percentages of intelligent people. Guess who voted for who?

Yeh, everybody forgot about the redneck vote. There are way more rednecks than actual people with sense.

To me, it's not about the intelligence of so-called "red state voters," but more about their mere numbers.

This is off topic, I know, but look at the Senate. Republicans hold a 55 to 44 edge, with one independent. But those 44 Democratic senators represent more people than do the 55 Republicans.

That can be the nature of the Senate, so I'm not proposing an overhaul of any kind. But I really wish that Frist and the GOP leadership would keep that in mind when they propose their agenda, at least in the Senate. They are a majority by seats only.

not everyone in those democrat states is a democrat.the republicans were the ones picking up votes in those states.

there are FAR MORE republicans in america than democrats.its all about getting them out to vote.if you do that ,you win.obviously.

if i were the dems i would stop fretting with the far left of the party, they dont help.the dems need the middle of the road voter and they lost that in the last election.the dems also must have the minorities wich they are slowly losing wether you choose to admit it or not.at this point in history, our P.R. and marketing is far more productive than the dems. I dont disagree with all the dems positions, but they shoot themselves in the foot with howard dean who keeps the far left loyal, while removing the middle of the road voter from the dem control.

is dean working for Rove?seems so.

How? If they picked up votes, wouldn't they have won the seats, instead of losing? Democratic senators represent more people than do Republicans. You can't get around that.

there are FAR MORE republicans in america than democrats.its all about getting them out to vote.if you do that ,you win.obviously.

I'd like to see statistical evidence of that. Every poll or article I read on the subject, and I'm well-read on this, says that most people identify themselves as leaning Democratic when it comes to domestic policy and Republican when it comes to foreign policy (though, that is shifting). It's not so cut and dry as there are more of this party or more of the other.

I used to feel that Dean was bad for Democrats for that very same point. But then I realized that it was Dean who energized the Democratic party by playing to the most liberal members. And that Kerry lost that momentum by moving to the center.

The reason why Republicans are winning is because they cater to the far right. The most extreme part of any group's base is where the activism comes from. The far left is where Democratic activism comes from and Dean is doing the right thing, regardless of what you hear or read in the media.

Karl Rove dodged a bullet when the media fixated on Dean's Iowa concession speech in 2004.

dean sure isnt helping the party now.the guy cant even go in public without pissing on the washington dems.

dean was a loser pick in '04,just like hillary in '08.

so the dems lose '04 because they are to far left, they hire the farthest lefty to head the whole party.sounds good to me.

amsterdam
06-16-2005, 02:33 PM

I fully agree with amsterdam on the hilary issue. Our world just isnt ready for a female president of the united states. everybody will be glossing so much over the historical significance and celebrity of it all that noone will remember about the fucked up shit going on now. HELLO, ANYONE REMEMBER NORTH KOREA?!?! the same n.korea that demanded the US to declare them a nuclear power in order to regain peace talks? i dont think the president is in the right state of mind to swallow his pride.

Now imagine hilary in this situation, would she be the first female president to blow north koreans the fuck up or will she make a testament to time of being the first female president to do as little fighting as possible? the international court would eat her alive and i can almost certainly see more bills getting drafted to grant the cia and fbi more powers in terms of military action.

Scarcely have our minds been able to emerge from the astonishment into which one stroke of parliamentary thunder has involved us, before another more heavy, and more alarming, is fallen on us. Single acts of tyranny may be
ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate and systematical plan of reducing us to slavery.

Ok Amsterdam, you got me on the religion part. I was referring to the whole "If your against Bush you are anti-American" and lumped the religion part, a small yet vocal minority, into it. I should have been more specific. I apologize.

So, here goes again:

George Bush is real godlike when he murdered all those unborn babies when he was the governer of texas. and wait how many are dying now because he wants more money for his oil company? how about save the environment for future people to live? thats not happening with him in charge. some of you need to stop fucking watching tv and start getting the real news from Jeff Rense. ya know some of the worlds smartest people and scientists are all dying wierd deaths. the rednecks that I see are the ones with the american flag in thier rear windows of thier pickup trucks. all they care about is beer and television.

he drowned in an inch of water...

he shot himself eight times in the head...yep, that's what happened.

Thanks for pointing out that I was kidding Marboroman. But I assure you it wasn't my sense of humor that motivated my posts. It was my disgust. Disgust that the republican party and religious right actually use this type of propoganda and disgust that so many people beleive it. When you word it like I did it does seem pretty ridiculous. They're saying the exact same thing though. They just use carefully chosen words to make it sound better but the meaning is the same. Unfortunately there were enough gullible sheep out there that beleived the bullshit to get Bush re-elected.

Exactly!! America is supposed to be about freedom, right? Free to have your own opinion and voice your opinion . Thats fine as long as it isn't anti-Bush. If it is you are anti-American. If that isn't hypocrisy I don't know what is.

What Bush and the Republicans are doing is pretty similar to what the Nazi's did. No, I'm not talking about the genocide bit. But they have used fear and hatred to further their own agenda. Not to mention the invasion of other countries.

After 9/11 most Americans were terrified it could happen again and hated those responsible. Bush took full advantage of that to not only launch an invasion of another country but to get himself re-elected. How many times during the campaign did the issue of who would be better to protect America from terrorists come up. Unbelievabley nobody understood that Bush had really just stirred up a hornets nest and given terrorists even more reason to launch another attack. Think about it, does anyone believe Bush would have been re-elected had 9/11 never happened. Other than being the "hero" of 9/11 what else has he done for this country????

My father along with hundreds of thousands of IT workers have all been out of work for years due to this offsoreing..... im seriously considering killing the sons of bitches if someone else doesnt first!!! and no cocky responses to this please im sick of some redneck trying to put his two cents worth in while attempting to disrespect you.... they just havent been hit with the reality of what bush has done yet, there time will come
