this is a cause for concern.

New Bill Could Make Bush President For Life

Prison Planet | June 14 2005 (http://prisonplanet.com/index.html)

A House bill has been introduced that would change the 22nd amendment and enable George Bush to remain President for the rest of his political life.

The bill would repeal limitations on a President holding office for a maximum of two terms.

An even darker scenario, Arnold Schwarzenegger is elected as President in 2008 and shorty after the 22nd amendment is abolished, making the Hitler admirer our permanent Fuhrer.

This is the modern day version of the Enabling Act (http://www.govsux.com/enable.htm), which allowed Hitler to officially declare himself dictator.

The bill, which can be found at the Library of Congress website here (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.J.RES.24.IH:), reads as follows.

----------------------------------

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution. (Introduced in House)

HJ 24 IH
109th CONGRESS
1st Session

H. J. RES. 24
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

February 17, 2005

Mr. HOYER (for himself, Mr. BERMAN, Mr. SENSENBRENNER, Mr. SABO, and Mr. PALLONE) introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification:

`Article --

`The twenty-second article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is repealed.'.

------------------------------

The 22nd amendment as reprinted on the FindLaw website (http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/amendment22/) reads as follows.

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This Article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

Annotations
Limitation of Presidential Terms

''By reason of the lack of a positive expression upon the subject of the tenure of the office of President, and by reason of a well-defined custom which has risen in the past that no President should have more than two terms in that office, much discussion has resulted upon this subject. Hence it is the purpose of this . . . [proposal] . . . to submit this question to the people so they, by and through the recognized processes, may express their views upon this question, and if they shall so elect, they may . . . thereby set at rest this problem.'' 1

I read the article as well before you posted it, mr. pisshead. I could never love an America run by Arnold and for justifiable reasons. He's racist and supports nazism enthusiastically.

Now I know we Democrats have a lot to learn when it comes to character assassination, but I think even we couldn't lose an election to Arnold. Luckily, people all across the political spectrum hate Nazis, which will cost him more than enough votes to even get close to winning. Can Torog back me up on this?

Governor Receives Bush Award
Senior Bush suggests that Schwarzenegger could someday become president

Houston Chronicle | November 30, 2004

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Former President George H.W. Bush presented Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger an award for public service on Tuesday and suggested that the foreign-born, former action movie star could someday be elected president.

"In regard to him ever being president of the United States, my advice to you Aggies and to any of those doubters, don't bet against Arnold Schwarzenegger," Bush told about 2,500 people attending the award ceremony at Texas A&M University.

McCaine is viewed as middle of the road, not to mention that he is a true war hero.

the republicans would take more democrats votes than we did in '04.i voted for McCaine in the primaries against W so i like him and expect he will also be around for eight years.its a win win for us.sorry.

sorry amscray, but the dems will take the '08 election. noone's going to trust republicans with that much power again until they can prove they know how to use it. All the Democrats have to do is put forth a nice clean image and do their best to get troops out and impeach bush. then the government will be open for them to plunder and pillage as they see fit.

The judges can throw it out the Downing Street memo all they want. It won't work for too long. Havn't you noticed in about the 20 times it's been thrown out, more and more people are standing up and asking "why"? That's all it takes considering that most people dont even know about it in the first place thanks to fucked-up journalism. All over the world people know the truth because of it bt americans dont because the news media hasnt told them anything...but dont worry ammy old boy more americans are waking up. Even Alex Jones your hated "shock jock" is gaining less notoriety as more prominent people get up. Trust me, amsterdam Bush is going to have to answer. The only way he wont have to is if "surprisingly" (my fucking ass surprisingly) another attack happens to distract people. I say, why don't we work together to get what needs to be done...done. You're a fellow pot smoker. Look within yourself and you know the right thing to do.

I will promise that McCain won't even make it out of the primaries to be the Republican nominee for president.

In 2000, right-wing Republicans (yes, Republicans; W's cronies, in fact) slammed him mercilessly and rather unethically in South Carolina with push polls and other disinformation, effectively ending his campaign. And with the GOP being further to the right and more in bed with evangelicals, I don't see why that would change.
