Trust is an issue

I know trust is a huge issue when it comes to supplying, and I am probably naive, but I need so bad to find a hookup. I am an "older" smoker and recently relocated 350 miles from my home. Where I used to live I could drive 15 miles across the river and downtown and score in a matter of minutes. I got ripped off some, but I knew the risks and learned from my mistakes. I assumed that all cities would have a downtown area that would be full of dealers on the street corners and that I would be able to drive through and get my fix. I have found that that is not the case. I live in Lansing, Mi and drove 2 hours to Detroit to try and score. I actually was successful, but only because I was stupid enough to just stop and ask people if they could point me in the right direction. I got real lucky and the first guy I asked was able to help me out, it was really coincidental too because he happened to be from Lansing and was just visiting a friend in Detroit for the day. He gave me a number, but hasn't come through for me since. Anyway, I am a closet smoker--meaning I have to hide from my husband-- and I don't want to drive 350 miles to hookup. I am not asking anyone to put themselves at risk, but if anyone knows of a place near me that I can potentially find a hookup, I would really appreciate the info. Somebody please help a girl out. I just want to get HIGH!!!!

Firstly, it is better to get a regular connection if possible. You will get better deals, better weed (probably), and you will know for sure that you can trust the person. Not everywhere has places you can just go and expect to be able to find somebody who deals. You will have to find a specific dealer and get in touch with them every time you want to buy. Asking on the Internet for hook-ups isn't a very good idea either, considering how many scammers there are when it comes to buying pot and the Internet (plus, you never know who's a cop). Asking around on the streets of a big city is risky, like you said, and I know from experience that it is frustrating and awkward but it can yield good results if you're lucky.

Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to find a connection if you stay a "closet smoker". You usually have to hang around with other smokers before you find a connection (and believe me, you are not the only older smoker; there are a LOT more of them than everybody thinks!). Just remember that no matter where in this country you live, there are plenty of people around who smoke pot and people who sell it to them, and there are people who would be happy to sell to you if they know they can trust you. It is just a matter of infiltrating that "crowd" and once you find out who all the dealers are, choosing somebody nearby who will reliably give you good pot for a good price. It isn't as hard as it sounds.

for real, dont you have any one that you know smokes, thats crazy if you are a complete loner stoner. but if you are, i would either start growing, or go to a slightly shady area of your town, but dont go somewhere where theyre going to just pull you out of your car at gun point and take off. if your looking for some dank shit too going into a sketchy neighborhood and looking wont be for you. usually people that just stand on the corners and such are just trying to make evry little penny and wont have the quality. they will usually have some dry mids, it will get you high, but for the good shit i think you need to find a reliable person or find a nice grw spot that your husband wont find. or you could always just tell your husband, maybe he knows a co worker or anyone. just ask close friends or co worklers. you should be able to find something.

Ganja--Yes right now a complete loner stoner-I just moved a few months ago and haven't met anyone that I am comfortable enough to ask. My husband knows that I do, but it is a very sore subject and I would rather not argue. He has an executive level job (the reason we moved) and there is no way I could have him jeopardize that. If there is a sketchy part of town around here I can't find it-believe me I have tried.

Ermi--I know what would be best and safest, I just don't have that option yet. I honestly don't know anyone in this city. I don't even know where to begin to find the other smokers. I did read about the Marijuana march and there is a party in town on Friday, I am thinking of going. Surely there will be smokers at a party for the legalization of mj.

Thanks for your input everyone. I was just hoping that someone on the board was in my general vicinity and could maybe help out. I know I am going to have to earn trust before anyone will be able or willing to help me. Thats cool.

My only affiliation with law enforcement is the one night in jail and $100 fine I got for possession about 6 years ago. I used to live in KY, I went to Cincinnati to get my stuff when I couldn't get it through a more reliable and trustworthy source. Eventually I started going to Cinti all the time because it was almost always a sure thing with none of the calling around and waiting to see who could come through. I got ripped off a few times, but eventually I became "seasoned" and started getting it from the same 2 or 3 people all the time. Even now if I drive down Vine I can score within 5 minutes and the guy I usually look for hooks me up pretty good. Last time I bought I paid 150 and without a scale I don't really know how much it was, but I "measure" it by the number of j's I get. If it comes out to around $5 a J then I feel okay about the deal. This last time I got over 30 Js from the 150 bag and it was decent stuff--for me anyway. I am probably a light weight by some standards, but for the last four years I have smoked every day, several times a day (except for a couple of times when I "quit" for a week or more, and now of course). Anyway, I appreciate that you would like to help out. I am in Michigan now--where are you.

You live in lansing. Im there often. here is what you do, go to the MSU (michigan state univ) campus. it will be hard now that the semister is over, but you will still find connections. walk around the houses around the campus and you will find a few nice people to help you out.

Im from the great state of Iowa, I attended Winona St. Univesity this year in Minnesota, but for now the most specific im getting is Iowa, cause im from a small town and it wouldnt be to hard to find me, you know what i mean, but the weed supply is always plentiful, we buy direct from the supplier and its always the best, just recently my firend and i got the best stuff we both agreed to ever smoking. Its goes for about 50 and 8th, but well worth it. Hopefully over these next two weeks i can get to know ya better and then ill be back home where its one call away. Being up at school makes it difficult and ive cut back smoking to maybe twice a week do to personal reasons. But we'll see how it goes. Peace out

Cool. Speaking of 50 an 8th...that reminds me of a cute little story...a couple weeks ago (just before I ran out) I drove up to get smokes and burned one on the way, when I went in to get my smokes the guy behind the register asked me how much my perfume costs per quarter. I got a kick out of it. By the way, I did ask him if he knew of a hookup and obviously no go.

i feel ya on the no hook ups. i have really one guy who can get it for me. and he gets it from another guy. so its usually somewhat of a hassle. gotta work around everyones schedule, and i dont get to see the sack before i pay. $40 for an 1/8, and its really not that awesome stuff. ive had lots better for $40.

my GF has a few co workers. but they can very rarely get it. and its the same deal when they do it! money without seeing it, working around everyones schedule, etc.

i wish i could find a decent hook up also. :mad:
