I was wondering how many people here drink while on anti-depressants? If so, how much do u drink with one pill in u?? I take Zoloft and have read reports about drinking on Zoloft and none have mentioned seizures, strokes, heart attacks, death, or the likes of other medications plus drinking. BTW, if anybody is wondering why I have been gone so long with no posting it's because, well I was the one who wrote the school shooting threats at Neenah High School (If anyone even heard of it) (No, I didnt plan on doing it).

Thanks anyone....

P.S. Am I correct that alcohol will piss out of u within 12 hours if u just drink like 5-6 mix drinks?

i can't say in exact hours how long but it is gone from your system in less than 24 hours..it is like any other liquid.....it is abosorbed to your body and filtered out via. liver and intestinal tracts....me myself have a very high tolerance to any and all medication (in pill form, iv's or liquid work just normal on me) and used to drink all the time while on MULTIPLE anti-depressants (i know it's unusual for any one doctor to prescribe more than one, and my even be unbelievable for some) but i am a poster child for a multitude of mental illnesses and the doctor believed (and it did help while i was on them) that i needed multiple ones.....IMO it all boils down to your body, chemical make up and your body's way of dealing with certain things...but since i'm not a scientist and can't tell you certain things to look for and what not.....i can't really tell you but to experiment on your own AT EXTREMELY LOW DOSES at first AND AT YOUR OWN RISK....although i really wouldn't suggest it becasue there is the probabillity of very adverse side effects to it .....

well i'm from a big drinking community so maybe i can help...

first off zoloft with alcohol ...friend is on zoloft...he has hardly any tolerance.....after about 6 bers in 2 hours he was foaming from teh mouth and in and out of consciousness(sp?)

and yes alcohol is gone within 24 hours jsut drink lots of water and pee a bunch supposedly helps but hell that could be a myth but yah i know it's gone in 24 hours

well class is starting so yah thats my 2 cents

it wouldn't be a myth cuz alcohol is in the same system that water is filtered through so there for it flushes it out.....but saying piss alot after drinking is kinda pointless...i mean who doesn't piss alot while drinking? lol

alcohol leaves your system at the rate of about an ounce an hour...some of it leaves through your lungs through vaporisation, hence the breath for about a day afterward...it even sweats through your pores...

i've been on wellbutrin and zoloft...i don't like either drug, i felt sexually drained on zoloft, though it did help the depression and what have you...no antidepressant works fully with alcohol, it's trying to work against the alcohol, they practically cancel each other out...but besides that yeah there's HIGH risks of seizures in some people depending on your individual seizure threshold...i've been on many a hangover and just felt like i was gonna have a stroke, all anxious, edgy, almost like i'm about to lose my balance and fall off a cliff or something, it made me paranoid...i regret to say i stopped taking antidepressants, they were helping but i couldn't deal with the fact that i was at a high risk for so many complications...lots of people drink while on antidepressants and have no problems...i never actually had a seizure from it, but i've had seizures from certain other combinations and bad choices and i don't wanna risk it anymore....just be careful with that stuff, besides, alcohol defeats the purpose of an antidepressant
