Does anyone know what rancid is?

A friend of mine said he could get these pills for $25 a pill. I asked him what it was and he said the street name was rancid. Does anyone know what he is talking about? I did a search on erowid but i didnt come up with anything. The pills were just clear gelcaps with some white powder in them. My friend also told me that this "rancid" drug was man-made and was laced with mescaline. I don't think I want to try anything man-made considering those drugs are pretty hard on your body. I just like to keep it safer and stay with natural drugs, thc, psilocybin, ect. If anyone has any info on this, then id really like to know about it.

Mesculine is the hallucinating drug in payotie or however you spell it, (associated with Inidans). It makes you trip like mushrooms, its natrual in a cactus form but I wouldn't take it in a pill form, not a big fan of synthetic drugs, if you want to trip just eat some good mushrooms and have a good time, don't take pills.
