i am growing outdoors, my plants were geting atacked by nats, or catapilers, or something. a friends dad told me to spray them with a mix of viniger, dish sope, and water to kill whatever was attacking them, he also said "to water them as much as posibel because they are a weed and will take up anything you give them" now they are turning brown and sriveling up.. they also had brown rust colored spots on some leaves prier to the viniger, and over water inicident.. any recomadiond on counter action, other than not to lisen to him anymore.

p.s. pics comming soon

Without pics, there is little to diagnose and advise.

Never spray vinegar on the plant leaf surface. Vinegar is great to lower the water pH or the soil pH but too acidic on vegatation.

The soap was a good idea mixed with water and spray misted.

Makes the leaves nice and siny too.

They might be too far gone, but I would go and spray water and a tab of baking soda on the leaves....just a tad...like one teaspoon per spray bottle.

You will need to try and neutralize the high acid vinager now on the foilage.

Good luck.

Looks like foiliar burn.

Don't use vinager on the foilage....

The new leaves look ok so dont worry about it...those older leaves will be but shrivels in memory anyhow.

I would just plain water spray the plant and do it several times over the next few days.

What kinda dirt are they in anyhow?

Just spray them with non chlorinated water everday for a while.

long time before that

would they be better off indoors?

Yes if the conditions are appropriate, and the lighting is proper.

STOP the ferts for now. Too young to need it and they recovery. NON CHLORINATED WATER ONLY pH to 7.0

Bending is fine...

Just water when the soil is pretty dry, not bone dry.

Frequency has too many variables to have a standard "HOW OFTEN" approach.

Water when almost dry.

Good luck and spray with soap solution (DAWN DISH LIQUID FOR DISHES) (NOT DISHWASHER) 2 - 3 X week or so.

The leaves will be nice and shiny...

Stay on the bugs or it is all for naught. The soap spray is only to KILL the bugs, as when it dries, it will suffocate them. It will NOT prevent them from coming, so to be effective, you gottas tay on them.

HAPPY SOAPING :)
