I'm not sure why "Members" have this forum if nobody participates. Is it that there are so few Cafe Members ??? Or is it we have nothing to say to each other ?? I'm open to ideas on how we we can get this party started. Maybe we all post our own naked pics as a fund raiser (ONLY KIDDING).
Anyway Ideas are welcome.

Yes, I've compared it to a ghost town several times. I honestly don't know how many members even check this part of the boards anymore.
I'm still here, though, and if anyone else is maybe we should all just take a few moments to say hi. Hi, everyone!! :)
And, I'm all for the nakedness idea!! :D

OK, If there are 2 more votes (preferably female) for Nakedness, we're gonna do it. There's gotta be some benefits of membership.

I've looked a few times but no one seems to post here. Last week I checked and the last post was back in mid-May!
Don't know if folks are too tight to shell out $20. but I think it should help weed out scammers and other undesireables. I, for one, could use the connections. Up 'til now most of those I've tried to connect with have fallen into the previously mentioned category.

Budz ...
I have no idea how many members there are or who they are. I'm hopin that they see this activity and check in. Clearly they care enough about the site to donate the 20. Maybe if we all have somethings in common, we can fire up the forum.

Yo! gropals,
Although mine resembles 40 miles of bad road!(read: 54 years of rough and tumble...)
However, there is nothing wrong with pix of naked mature men. Handsome, smooth faced, hunky guys do little for my libido, especially when they have been 'building' their bodies. Not that I can't appreciate an artful display of human form. Anyway, I was married to one, briefly, long ago, when too, too young. As my interests grew beyond what a beautiful couple we made, we grew apart really fast.
Give me a guy with a few scars, some wrinkles and a little slack. I wouldn't be scoping the bod anyway, but the mileage reading on his face.
Now to the serious subject of: What to do now the Feds are tromping on States' Rights!!!

Sounds like an easy earth girl .... and a little sack ??? LOL... slack .
Maybe this IS a lounge .... 8 members in the first day, isn't bad for a forum on life support .... maybe it's time to start another topic, maybe something that we are passionate about and not already talked about in the "general forums".
If ppl notice the activity, more will join in.

Hopefully some intelligent discussion might happen here. Seems some of the other boards attract many adolescents (not all age-determined) ;)

I put in my info and they contacted my legislators for me. How easy is that?
And now I can feel I contributed. I hope you know I'm talking about the Raich thing.
Hello all! I'm glad to see someone else is here now. Please take a couple minutes to make your voice heard. Thanks

Here's some: I had to call and confirm a Dr's appointment. The young lady on the phone told me to bring my insurance card, picture ID and any perscription medications in their containers. I had to laugh. I told her I didn't plan on bringing it with me, but my percription medication is medical marijuana. I chuckled while she took it in. I explained to her that I carry a card from the State of Nevada that ID's me as a MMJ patient. I also let her know I have a paper from the state dept of agriculture with a stamped raised seal on it that says it's legal for me to grow marijuana. I've been working at this for many years. It's very gratifying to see we've made progress. Yes, it takes a long time, but people like me that haven't been very political need to now. So, I'm spreading the word. I even wore my red hat with the green leaf on it out last night.
Let's "Make it so."

I'm not very savey about this internet thing, but I think I did what I needed to do to turn on my PM service when I became a member. If you haven't, it's something you already paid for and might as well use it. earth girl, I tried to PM you and couldn't. Maybe you want to look at that.
I wanted to know how far from Las Vegas you are and let you know there's a place called meetup that you might use to help with your group. I went to our meetup and brought my dog. No one else showed up. Too bad. I really see the need for local groups too.
Here's the link for our fizzled out group.

Yo gros, Thanx marji1!
I went right over and did my part. I couldn't help customizing the form letter, which I felt rambled a bit...lol.
Las Vegas... deliciously decedent...I love the poker slots, buffets, shows, the freedom from housework. There are always busses going over there from the Senior Center. Sometimes an airline will offer incredible deals to fly into Laughlin, stay at this hotel 3/2, round trip, from a local airfield including shuttles to the Inn in question.
Anyway, Donnie, I noticed a page at the NORML home entitled "So you want to have a rally?" I didn't stop to look, because I am organizationally challenged, but maybe you could get some Ideas!
eg says, "Rally Hope!"

Great Story marji1 .... Is the red hat with the green leaf a symbol of medical MJ support, or MJ in general. I would like to purchase merchandise that shows my support of the use of MJ for medical purposes and also support the group (s) w/contributions.

It sounds like earth girl and I would have to do some driving to get to your place del. You know I'm going to be there, probably this weekend. e g is in CA, so I'm not sure how that will work out. Did you PM her? Yeah, do you b-b-q? What do you want me to bring? By the way, I put them all to flowering now. The wait is on.

Remember that Dr's office call? Well today, first of all, someone called me from there this morning. Another female who said she was reconfirming that I'll be there tomorrow and would go over directions there. I thought it was a little odd, but went over the directions with her. Then in the PM the one I spoke to yesterday called and said the office manager told her to tell me to bring in some of my "medicine". I was wierded. Then she added "and bring enough for all of us". She quickly said she was kidding about the last part, but relaying the message that I should bring the MMJ with me. OK, fine. Later she called back and said they'd thought it over and I didn't have to bring it if I didn't want to drive with it. I said that was fine, I'd bring it and the laminated certificate I have from the Dept. of Agriculture. I added that I like to educate people about it. I had to educate the Dr. at the urgy care I went to when I broke my toe a week and a half ago. I showed him my state ID for MMJ. He didn't know what to think. A young guy too! He said he didn't know about these things. I guess that's a good place to start if we have to educate these youngn's about the benifits of this wonderful medicine. I retired from nursing a year and a half ago. Now I find myself informing Dr's again.

DonnieDarko, I meant to answer you also. It's strange. I was waiting for another store to open one morning so I hung out in the store next door that was one of those dollar(or so) stores. That hat was there for $1.99. I grabbed it, went to the counter and the man asked me a question worded very carefully. Oh, I wish I could remember what he said. Anyway, he indicated and I let him know delicately that I understood and it was fine. I don't wear hats. Especially a baseball type one. But I had to have that one and want to go back and get more. Maybe I should design my own. I do like to think of myself as an artist. Do you think there would be and interest if it wasn't baseball type?

What kind of hat exactly? Sure, I think alot of ppl would be interested. I also find your story about buying the hat funny. The young man behind the counter explaining to the mature woman that it is a cannabis leaf logo. Did he think you thought you were buying a hat with a tomato leaf on it?! :D

I'm not sure what he thought. Although, recently I had a torch lighter that had a sorta' 3D type MJ leaf on it. Most people don't notice or say anything. One lady about my age said "What a pretty flower". As for the hats, I feel more capable of designing the fabric, not the hat itself. This needs more thought, 'cause I'm not a sewer. And as I said, I don't usually wear hats. But it is a good idea. Anyone got more suggestions? Let's see what we can do.:D

I'd prefer a ball cap or a T-shirt that specifically promotes medical MJ. I also believe that over 40 females are a large group that support MMJ, so maybe a sun-hat (beach-hat) might be popular. Something that would stimulate awareness and debate.

Heres a logo I found on http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_medical.shtml.
some political stuff:
quote regarding recent court ruling:
"Our national medical system relies on proven scientific research, not popular opinion. To date, science and research have not determined that smoking marijuana is safe or effective," John Walters, director of National Drug Control Policy, said Monday.(06-06) 13:05 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) --
Apparently now you don't possess rights until you've proven them to the government's satisfaction rather than the other way round.
Jefferson would be so proud :(
