yeah im completely new to this site and since im up tonight with nothing to do, im going post crazy, but i just started smoking marijuana, tonight would be like my fourth time (with the bong i made thanx to the guys who helped me out in my other thread) but one of my buds whos been smoking for a lot longer than me said he knows somebody who could get us acid for our end of the year party, and im wondering if that would be a good idea.. you know since I just started smoking and all.

I love music and stuff and i read/hear about how all these dudes that did acid and stuff and were ok after it all.. but then theres Syd Barrett, and it makes you wonder if you should touch the stuff.

For information on a bunch of drugs check http://www.erowid.org/ . The decision to do acid (or any drug for that matter) should be up to you. You should weigh the positive and negative effects and come to your own conclusion. Don't let you friend talk you into something you don't want to do. There will always be other times. Just inform yourself before you decide either way.

ya, exactly what mono said, also i suggest u do shrooms before doing acid, do u can get a small idea what it will b like, if u do decide to do it, do not expect something like a weed high, tahts were things can go wrong, also learn ur dosages, ur safety procautions and all that other shit...if i were u, i would take the hit, and save it in somewhere dark till i tried shrooms then maybe after that i would use it, or sell it or something

personally i wouldnt use it as a party drug, if its real stuff (although effects vary) chances are you wont want to talk and if its a loud busy party it might be all too much.. dunno whatever up to u, u wont die

also if u do take it, take it while ur having a good day, supposivly if ur pissed or sad that will totaly change the trip, not sure on that tho but i know its for sure on salvia, and get urself a sitter who knows what the fuck he/she's doing and can help not flip out when ur having a bad trip

I'm 18, and I don't really want to try shrooms or acid until I can let my "mind grow up a bit". I'm probably going to try morning glory seeds and see how I like it, then do shrooms, then acid. I know that Acid is a VERY strong hallucinogen. You trip for a very long time. Take a look around Erowid. Research as much as you can.

well, i would carry on toking if i was you. and once that beomes a normal thing (you know, you know what ur highs gonna be like, and you dont cough as much anymore) then try shrooms mybe, iv never tried shrooms (wanna wait til im a bit older) but i have heard ppls stories on this board (and other boards) about ppl having bad trips. you have to be prepared for the worse.

i dont know anything about acid so i cant help you there... i know shrooms are natural like weed though and thats akways a plus.

the only problem i have with shrooms is where they come from lol....and while this alone can't control a bad trip i've heard numerous places that you have to be in the right state of mind for both.....be in a place your comfterable with and with people you are comfterable with and don't be mad, depressed or any other "negative" feelings

Yea you should do it, the first time is crazy. might as well get it over with because it's gonna happen sooner or later :) and after this craziness you will be wanting to do it again. but only do it if you are in a generally upbeat and good mood. smoke some weed like an hour before and then it will always be good
