New to growing

Hi

I wish to start growing some weed. I live in the UK.

First question... is it too late to start now?

I'm going to start them off inside in a small pot, going to put a moist paper towel on top, do i put them in sunlight or in darkness at first?

I will then let it grow on my windowsill for a bit, then put them in bigger pots and put them outside, then when they start to smell, going to move them into a field, should i leave them in a big pot or plant them in the field?

Will standard growing mix do for the pots?

Think i'll start with a nivarna purple widow, is this a good choice? any recommendations?

1. Don't waste any good seeds till you have at least one grow under your belt.
2. The germination technique your thinking of is the seed being a damp napkin inside a bag on somewhere warm.
3. Not sure if the windowsill will be enough.
4. Yes standard growing mix is just fine.
5. No it's not too late but your plant won't yield as much or be as big.

Yeah im just gonna use some shitty seeds (£10 for 10), will see how it goes :) need to buy the seeds first.

Anyone know a good UK seedbank? Pref. seeds that are for UK climates.

Mines growing in a window sil and its doing fine. I surrounded it with tinfoil for it get lots of sunlight.

got my seeds from SeedsDirect (http://seedsdirect.to/) they arrived really quickly. I got a random feminised indoor mix and they gave me a free bag of 10 "skunk #1" seeds.

by the way did anyone else get these freebies? has anyone planted them? i dont really want to as i can only really grow 1 plant at a time and if it turns out to be a d00d then i've wasted my time.im kinda thinking i could try to find a sweet outdoor spot and lob 'em in the ground but a suitable spot is yet to present itself.
