Looking for feedback on this setup:

I am working on setting up a small & effecent flowering room. My main goal is to have 1-2 Medium or 3-4 Small Plant Flowering withing this room. I do Low Stress Training with my plants so I do not need a ton of space because I can easily control the size by additional training. Here is the plan...

Box Size: 5 Foot Tall x 4 Foot Long x 2 Foot Deep
Finish: Inside will be painted with flat white
Light: 400 Watt HPS & 320 Watt (Combined) Flour.
Grow Square Footage = 7.5 Square Foot.

53 HPS Watts/SQ FT + 43 Flour Watts/SQ FT = 96 Watts/SQ FT Total
7100 HPS Lumans/SQ FT + 3200 Flour Lumans/SQ FT = 10,300 Lumans Total

I will use 2 10" Fans to move heat & air outside with 2 - 4 Inch Air Ducts.

My Questions:

1. Is this way overkill for light in this space?
2. Are the Flour really doing me any good or should I use just the HPS?
3. Will I have too much heat build-up in this small space?

Any Feedback would be greatly appricated.

Thanks

Answers to questions....

1. Light sounds real god and adequate. No overkill here.
2. I wouldnt even use the HPS until week 4.
3. You could have. But if you vent out with a fan like you said, you should be fine.

My concern would be with the 5 foot height. Add in your grow container, lights hanging down, fan and exhaust setup....and then add in your FLOWERING buds....

Better be a pretty low grower. Remember your final product will be at least 2 times the height of your plant, maybe 3.

Allow for it.

The rest sounds good.

HAPPY BOX BUILDING :)

Use the fluorescents as sidelight and run the closet for a test run to balance out hot spots and test temperature and air flow before you try live plants.

depends on how u grow dirt or hydro ,allow about 21" for an ebb and flow tray .Light is sufficant, but heat build up might be a prob.If so put a couple of 4" wholes in the very top to vent acess heat.Luck to ya

small space, no room for hydro. The lights are ok, but you will have problems with heat.
