Snails eating leaves

What can be done about snails?
I put a little sulphur powder at the base of the stem, and made sure other foilage wasn't touching the plant, will this stop the snails?

Slug and snail bait....I put a plate with beer in on the ground and surround it with slug and snail bait.

one thing to do is go out at night with a torch and just pluck them. another is to put crushed seashells(u can get in garden center) around slugs and snails cant go over them, salt will damage ur soil so dontpour that on them. if u catch them at night put themin a jar and feed them to ducks and moorhens at ur local park or pond the love them.

i wld spread some epsam salts around the plant in a little pile about 1 foot circle.After u pick the little bugers off the plant.Good luck

copper wire around keeps them out and salt does tha trick but washes away

Copper wire around the base and make sure the plant isn't touching anything the snails could climb onto. I lost some the snails once but copper wire worked great.

Yeah, Get an old mug or something similar, and fill it with strong stout/guiness (If you can get that where you live?) or just normal beer. Burry it next to your plants, and the snails and slugs will be attracted to it, and fall in to a nasty beerfilled death.
