hey everyone

i was wondering if anyone can give me a link to a website or any other information on birth control because today after sex with my gf she asked me if i think she should go on it. I said i wasnt sure it was a good idea because i heard that i can mess around with ur hormone levels and also u have to take it everyday at the same time. id much rather use a condom or just pull out which ive been doing for 2 months and no pregnancy so far ( thanks to the next to nothing sperm count from smoking the herb :) )

i was just wondering if anyone can give me some general information like what are the side effects and what r the chances of getting pregnant and what not and any personal experiences help as well

thanks very much

like 4/5 broads are on that shit..its not even a big deal anymore...id say just let her go on it..its not like itll make her feel different or anything, plus u get to beat it raw now all the time and not worry about pulling out, but make sure she takes that shit everyday and not miss a day b/c that will ruin your day

and uhh... if she takes it everyday its like 99.9% effective, and from what girls have told me, i think the only side effect is like gaining weight..but dont tell her that...until u read it from a more reliable source of information

STOP PULLING OUTâ?¦..you have been lucky. Get her on the pill quick fast and in a hurry. You can still get her pregnant without cumming inside her. You know that stuff that looks like cum that comes out of your penius right after it gets hard. Well, it is cum and that my friend will do you in. Donâ??t just assume you have a low sperm count because chances are you donâ??t have a low sperm count.

The pill is easyâ?¦.once a dayâ?¦.she can take it in the morning when she brushes her teeth (so she wont forget.) She might have a weight gain of a few pounds but just a few nothing drastic. The pill has always worked great for me. If she doesnâ??t have medical insurance to cover the cost of the pills she can expect to pay about $40 a month.

She also might be able to go to family planning if she canâ??t afford the pills and get them for free or a reduced price. (just a thought)

I would not recommend the depo shot (shot taken every three months) it jacked my system ALL up. Lets put it this way I was on my period for over a yearâ?¦..some people do just fine with itâ?¦ But I didnâ??t and I know many others who it did not work well for.

They have this new patch thing that looks kinda cool. Itâ??s kind of like the Nicotine patch and you replace it once a week but itâ??s birth control. Ive never tried it though.

PLEASE be carefulâ?¦.you have no idea what a baby could do to the rest of your lives.

From now on I'll only use later when I'm replying to you....ok.

Hey! Does she have a regular doctor? Does she see a gynecologist? Everyone is different with different birth control. She should talk with her doctor to see what works best for her. I have had many friends who took pills and that worked for them. I also know women who went with Depo Provera shots (every three months) and that worked for them, I guess the shot is more convenient because you don't have to remember to take a pill or something like that.

But yeah, it's a personal choice. She should talk with a doctor to see what options are available, so she can decide!

Do a google search for planned parenthood. They have a tone of birth control info.

I won't sleep with someone who isn't on birth control, but then again, I don't sleep with someone unless we are in a serious relationship. It's not just her choice, because if she gets pregnant, you are responsible too. If she can't take a pill everyday in order to protect her own well being, as well as yours, not to mention that of an unborn child(I'm assuming niether of you want or are ready for a child now), then she probly don't give a shit about you or herself as much as she should, and that's a huge red flag.

I realize it can fuck with your system, but she can work with her doctor to find one that works well for her with a minimum of side effects, most of which are temporary.

I can't wait until the FDA approves the male birth control pill cuz i'll be the first in line for that shit. Then i won't have to rely on someone else to take it. I'm not about to be no baby's daddy, and I can control my sexual urges enough to say no if a girl doesn't care enough about me to protect both of our futures by taking birth control. It's just not worth the risk.

it has been approved in some countries, but not the united states. I don't know where you're from, but do a google search and you should find something.

male birth control? SWEET. No more condoms, no more worries, no more semen! I'm all for it. If what you say IS true then thats some of the best news i've heard in a while.

good news indeed, but it takes forever for the fda to approve a medication(if you live in the us). It is available in many european countries though. I think I read it should be available in the us in about five years.

I think that birth control is BOTH of your responsibilities. You should each choose the best method for yourselves, and use them together, as all BC methods have some percentage of failure.

I also think that young people should practice alternative sexual methods, if both are comfortable with them, that have no risk of pregnancy. I won't list them here, but you know what I'm talkin about.

Have children when you both are ready.

Yeah maybe I'm a little late, but if she's willing I'd encourage her to go on birth control. I have been through a couple of pregnancy scares with my gf and they are NOT FUN. We now use birth control and condoms every time and its much less stressful for us.

Be prepared for her to have bad mood swings for a while because it does take some getting accustomed to. On the plus side it sometimes makes your gf's boobs grow... :D Pretend you didn't read that chauvinistic comment.

^ well we had another talk about and she really doesnt want to go through with it, shes cancelling her appointment.

i think this is fine, its ur own descion of what u want to put in ur own body.
yea pulling out probly isn't the smartest idea so im just gonna start using condoms again.

thanks again everyone for all ur advice
