The gold definetlety sets it off.I started off on a kool shades plastic guitar when i was tiny and have played ever since. All i have is an acoustic now.I used to have the BC rich warlock w/ the white trim and a Dean Avalanche. However i traded/sold them, stupidly.JAM ON!

I play guitar. I have a Custom tele with dual humbuckers, and a 1969 Les Paul Custom. I use a Marshall AVT amp, and a couple of pedals. I have some acoustics lying around the house as well. I've got a full PA as well, all I need now is a freakin band haha. If he hasn't shipped it yet, tell him to ship it with strings on it. Even if they are shitty strings, its bad to leave the guitar unstrung, especially when it must endure the hardships of being shipped. If need be offer to pay for the strings to be put on. Hot looking guitar though.

lol

Also to mono, i dont think he will be able to ship with strings on as the tuners have been put in ><. I plan on either putting them in myself or having my local shop do it. Just curious though, whats wrong with having it shipped unstrung?

Nice looking Tele, Fender or not.

If they didn't slacken the truss rod after they took off the strings, asuming it had strings on it at one time, it could warp the neck.

If the seller, especially if they know what they're doing, strings it up before you get it, then they'll probably adjust the truss rod as well. If you have to start from scratch, and don't even know what gauge strings it's set up for, if any, you may find it difficult to do by yourself. Maybe you can get whoever it is that's going to put your tuners on to set up the guitar for you. Adjust the rod, intonation, things like that. If you haven't already learned how to set up a guitar, it can make a big difference in how it plays. Also, the string nut slots may need to be opened up a little if you use heavier strings.

What 4252 said. Good luck with getting back into the playing. I'd have a shop put on the tuners, and setup the guitar, since its assembled by this guy.

Thanks Mono.

And yeah, playing while you're stoned is really good once you get comfortable with it. Not so hot for learning the technical parts.

Thanks for the replies 4252 and mono. I'll probably goto my local shop and have them put in the tuners out of fear of screwing it up and string the guitar.

Mine are in the avatar, except for a couple of surprisingly good Ravens I've added. And an Avarez classical.

I agree 100% about the creativity aspect of playing under various influences.

I'd like to put a band together, but I'm too goddamn lazy. I've been in a couple in high school, but they were pretty shitty. Played a few shows, but I was the only one who actually cared about the music. Everyone else was in it for the chicks.

nice to see many stoner guitar players here.....tokes....
my favorite at the moment is a Guild 1960's single cut away blues model.....nice tone, neck is simple...i would like to switch out the pick ups for PAF's..

"The RED _ _ _ _" is what i call it...

The guild is the love of my life now....has a SWEET tone..and sexy bite........never a pain ....just a pleasure to play....has many undertones specially when i d tune it...
nice to see you all musicians out there!!! keep on jammin........tokes......

Alright here is some of my gear, there's some more acoustics, but too lazy to take them out, and I have some other random stuff, like recording gear, but I don't it as much.

whoah, mono repin, for a second there I thought that your 4th picture had a Matchless in it. Alas, only a Crate. no comment... :)

If you look hard at my pictures, you can see a Peavey in there. FOR SHAME!!

Gonna be honest, never heard of matchless. Anyways, the crate sounds decent, its a acoustic amp, we (my dad and I) use it for acoustics. Primarily his martin D-12, which isn't mine so I didn't post it.

I've seen some older ones on Ebay before for about $8K. I'd probably take a Matchless over any other amplifier (I'm a tone freak).

Hey!! No one here representing the low end??!?!?

I've been playing the bass for over 15 years now. Several axes have passed hrough my hands, but my current clutch is:
Fender Jazz, Fretted, Noel Redding sig edition (and he's signed it n'all)
Crappy electro-acoustic bass (not an upright)
Wal Electric wood fretless, or as I prefer 'God Machine'. Hand made to my own spec!
Custom made fretless, with kevlar scratch place, Badass II Bridge, Seymour Duncan 1/4lb pickups and a Jazz neck

I use a Q-Tron sometimes, not for a while since I left a funk group, and a JD Cry Baby for Bass. Have a Roland DB500 amp which does me fine.Anyoen who's knowledgeable about loop/delay pedals should let me know....
