Color doesn't matter for shit but HARDDON is right you should NEVER EVER use it unless you KNOW how much your supposed to use. I've seen many crops go dead cuz of wrong fert usage. Goodluck.

I have organic fertilizer which is brown liquid, it's called BIO-Gro made by BioBizz. It works very well and it smells like Marmite.

Follow the instructions, goto their website.

Do some research on when to fert. No one wants to tell you when, that depends on the soil, plant and so on. Rule of thumb is not to fert new plants for AT LEAST 3 weeks but again it depends on the plant, soil and so on.

Pictures could help.

EDITED: Also use a quarter to 1/2 of what the package says to use when fert such young plants.

RESEARCH

Want the best advice?

Throw the stuff away and go buy some fert

or

put 1/2 of what the website says.

But if it was me, I do the first one

Better yet, ask your friend who gave you the poo
