ok, this is for a salvia divinorum plant, but hey, its a plant so... can anyone help me. i brake a leaf off at the stem and put it in the ground tightly, but it dies like instantly, im using a 10 gallon fishtank flouresent light. and water 1 time a day.. any suggestions?

i hadthe same problem when i transplanted my plant from outside to indoors and the first thing i did was tie it with a bread tie to a support beam applie miracle grow to the soil give it extra light and mist plant with disstilled water and hope for the best
did you use a rooting gel

You can't plant the 'leaf' and hope it roots. You need a secondary growth shoot along with rooting gel. Goodluck.

i imagine that you should be treating it like a clone,right?
best results will come when using root cubes, hormones, then transplanting when you have 10+ white, furry roots coming out...
