Of course, you can perceive time in any way you want. In this reality, almost anything is possible. You can mold this reality into anything you wish, if you know how to utalize the methods of the occult, and your will.

Yes, many people can't see these simple things too. Time can't be real, it's all another concept of life to stress us out and show us how long we will live. Then again, life itself is a huge illusion, that's why we have drugs, they are a secret to life, like a secret in a videogame, get it, and you gain MND, STR, INT, or just something you've never seen before that entertains you. Then again, some secrets are cursed and poison you, then... Game Over, just press restart.

Of course time exists. Time is simply another dimension, like length or width. The measurement of time is artificial, as is the measurement of spatial dimensions, but nevertheless, it exists independently of those units of measurement. Like spatial dimensions, the time dimension is affected by gravitational fields (Einstein, et al), and this effect is quantifiable. If time didn't exist, there would be no order to events, and cause could preceed effect.

I hate to be all "when did the universe start" if you know what i mean, but lengths, widths, dimensions....it's all made up by man. There's no way to prove it exists, and theres no way to prove it doesn't exist. It just seems more logical that it's just something humanity made up to explain certain stuff.

I think they mean time as time from a clock. Of course if you mean the demension, then of course it exists, or else there would be no movement, or thoughts, from anything, forever (although forever wouldn't be a concept).

If you keep asking "Why we exist", you'll just get frustrated, because there is no answer and we just have to wait til we die. Unless something so extraordinary happens while we're alive, that somehow someone figures out why we're here... that's incredibly unlikely to happen in our lifetime.

Science is the same thing as Mythology. It is a way to prove why something happens. All mythology was, was to prove how/why/when something happens(d).
-A feather and cannonball are dropped at the exact same time and hit the ground at the exact same time. Science says it's gravity, a force that pulls the two objects towards the center of the planet, right now, that's the best explanation. So we all assume it's right.
With that notion, Time is was only created for our convenience. Just so we don't have to count moons as a form of telling 'time' or whatever you may call it.

Hate to burst you bubble, but it's trivial to prove that dimensions exist. It's been done to death, actually. Read The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene, if you would like a good, clear explanation of this and other aspects of quantum physics written in layman's terms.

Time is just another unit of measurement. It's just another way to explain what is happening around us.. eventually there'll be a different accepted idea used to describe 'time' and what we now believe will look ignorant, but at the moment it's all we've got.

You are doing just what I cautioned against in my earlier post: You are conflating the measurement of time, with the entity to be measured.

isnt it funny? our technologically world invented so much inventions to make everything faster, and we are all more stressed than we were hundreds of years ago...
and yes time is one of the three dimension, with matter and space (not sure of that lol), but still, time is only existing because we make it exist. time is not touchable, or anything. time is the most realtive thing we can see. it can pass so fast, or so slow when we are bored
time is passing at different speeds for each of us :)

The Beginning of Time
In this lecture, I would like to discuss whether time itself has a beginning, and whether it will have an end. All the evidence seems to indicate, that the universe has not existed forever, but that it had a beginning, about 15 billion years ago. This is probably the most remarkable discovery of modern cosmology. Yet it is now taken for granted. We are not yet certain whether the universe will have an end.

Time is the fourth dimension. I really thought you meant clock time. We don't power time, time powers us. Time touches our every single movement, thought, emotion, anything we feel, we are connected to time.

05-27-2005, 02:08 AM
well yes actually if universe started, time must have started too with the appearance of matter, etc. in fact, as i said, time doesnt really exist, its always there, even in the void. as long as theres someone to be there, he can tell theres time. time only exist because we do :)

time does exist but not the way we think of it... we think of a straight line with a beginning and an end... yet look at our clocks. they go in an endless circle. look at the days and seasons, they go in cycles.
thats what time is... its a cycle that has no beginning or end. just look at the way we move around the sun.
i think that time, not god, has become the new deity of american culture... we're obsessed with it. our lives revolve around it. we never think to just let go, let everything happen when it happens. we talk about keeping track of time, racing against time, "time is on our side", as if its a person...
Purge
05-27-2005, 07:39 PM
i agree with djaio..
Purge
05-27-2005, 07:41 PM
time itself is that cycle, but the measurment of time simply keeps track of those cycles.

time only exists to us because we have memories...without memories you'd have no knowledge of this moment *right now* existing, and without knowing you existed a day ago, or a month ago, or 5 years ago you'd have no idea
just think how a beta fish must feel...beta fishes can live in small containers because they'll swim from one side to the other and forget that they were just at the other side - hehe.
you might say that time exists because we all live and die, and though you can prolong it dying is always going to be the end of your physical body.
ah im just talking out of my ass :D - really, others have said it well...time exists, we just made up the units of measurement

No, we didn't invent time, "time" is just the word we assigned to the passage of time (am I making sense)? Time existed before man, just noone had a word for it... we are so intellegent that we can understand how the universe works. Yep, humans rule ass alright.

I don't understand how people can believe this, if you read enough, some of the stories they tell are complete bullshit. There is one about this guy whos says he was in the desert and he saw 4 ghosts and Gene Ray (creator of the bullshit) comes and holds his hands and shows him the way of the "Cube". They're even selling gamecubes apparently from Gene Ray, stupid nonsense.

The past is real . Its more than a memory. It is inside your mind and all
around you.
The present time is real.
But there is no future, No such thing.
It would only exist as a dream or a fear or fantacy.
Never in reality. ;)

heres my theroy, time is all in your head. it's your brain trying to make sence out of somethig it can't. Like seeing faces in the wall paper patterns. our bodied age, but that is just our bodies. our mind or soul, spirit, what ever, still lives on, it moves in a circle. you die, you soul shifts out and then into another life form. repeat the cicle. if you think about it we are just vibrations moving in circles like evrything els. very hard to explain without weed, i'm dry over here.
