Ahh, for all of those who don't listen to great music i feel sorry for you, because last night I saw the greatest band ever. It was one of the greatest shows too because of the setup. It was just like an old show, we sat on the lawn smoked joints and passed them around like it was nothing... truly a free feeling. I wish all shows would be as free with pot as this one was. Oh ya and it was the allman brothers.

Allmans are great. They put on a hell of a show for a bunch of, mostly, old guys. Check out Gov't Mule too. That's Warren Haynes (of the Allman Bros)band. A lot of simliarities to the Allmans but a bit harder edged with some jazz , blues, and stoner rock thrown in.

It's too bad most of the people here are too young to remember the Dead. Talk about being free with pot. Every Dead show was a tie dyed pot, shroom, acid festival. Everyone was happy and the vibe was always great. I saw over 40 Dead shows and never once did I ever see a fight or any kind of confrontation. Nobody cared if you were doing drugs since almost everybody was doing them themselves. There was even had a trip tent where trained people could help talk you down from a bad trip if neccessary. Totally non-judgemental. Ahh..the good ol' days.

Never had such a good time, in my life before, I'd like to have it one time more....

gov mule are awesome....

If I could go back in time and do anything it would be to go to a dead show and follow them... but I guess i'm doing the closest thing you can to it now. Is anyone else going to bonaroo this year btw?? I think it may be the last year good music will be there and I can't wait for it.

On august 23 i'm going to see the Allman Brothers, with Moe here in Jersey. I can't fucking wait, man.

Like a month and a half ago, I went to the jammy awards in NYC, which Phil Lesh hosted(and also played in), which was fucking amazing. I love concerts. Everyone just passing joints around, tripping, doing whatever they want to.

It's such a good vibe.

I really want to see the Dead play this summer, if they do. They better.

I wish I grew up in the late 60's dammit.

Eyyy! Fuck yeah!

I saw them.. uh, this year... I don't even remember when it was, but it was earlier this year, and it was still cold out. March, I guess it was.

Anyway yeah, it was fucking fantastic. They opened and closed with Mountain Jam, it was beautiful.

Hell yeah, I'll be there. Been every time and can't get enough. I live like a half hour away from it too, so that's nice

it's a good drive for me but well worth it... i'm in fl but we're making a few pit stops on the way. I am going to a few fields this week for some shrooms, if you need any while you're there i'll be more than happy to bring some, but i'm sure they'll be enough going around... i can't wait!!!

Pink Floyd = Best band ever.

Definitely the best concert I have ever seen. The last time they came around, '94 I think, I saw them in Oakland. We were 10th row, dead center, and it was so fucking incredible. Incredible laser show, pyrotechnics, the whole works. Even without the music the show itself was amazing. But the music....man, where do I begin? They did the entire Dark Side of the Moon, beginning to end, and it simply blew me away. The highlight though was One of These Days. Something aboiut that song is just so "Floyd". God I wish they'd come around one last time.

Does everyone into the Dead know about the Lama website. I was in Deadhead heaven when I found it. There's like 2,000 concerts you can download or stream, most super crisp soundboards. Check it out

Omg, Id kill to be able to see the dead play! I love those guys lol, too bad I was born about 4 decades too late lol, just a 17 year old in a world of sell out corporate music >.<. But I think the best band ever would have to be Led Zepplin, each member of that band had an unimaginable amount of talent and the way they worked and put that talent together to create truly epic songs that are some of the most memorable tunes in rock history. I mean any dumbass off the street who doesnt listen to led zepplin knows the song stairway to heaven, or kashmire, or black dog, and many, many more.
