this couple very young,,,,,meet every sunday at the bazaar....they walk many miles to the village....3000 meters up in the mountains can mean thousands of miles,...walking....but this didnt stop them from enjoying their sunday's...
i thought , in my world i had everything..and felt sorry for them with what little they had. i watch them run around looking and eating dried fruit and chasing goats.....but i was wrong ..i was the sorry one.....they taught me...
you dont need all the luxory of man to be happy...just a good friend .....is all you need...everything else doesnt matter...........

so i go to the decompression chamber.......the room is filled with herbs smoking...i look out the window and watch them.......as im suffering ....of lack of oxygen......yes....friends......

Basically that it doesn't matter what you have, how much of it or how little..
It all boils down to friendship, love, trust - that's why we're all here.
I think that's what he meant anyway :)

nalu is a very cool person and we're lucky to have him in the club.

so many of us get caught up in things that aren't important (money, power, possessions, status) and before you know it, you're dead and haven't experienced life's pleasures at all. It's the simple stuff that's important. We tend to figure this stuff out when we get old, and then it's a lesson learned too late.

It's a big problem in the US, where capitalism drives us to have both parents work full time, not just to survive, but to keep up with the affluent. Europeans have a better perspective, probably because of their long history.

Exactly, I don't think there's very many people, lying on their deathbed
wishing they drove a bigger car or had more money in the bank -
It all boils down to the simple stuff then.....How well did you love..that's it.

I only need 3 things food, water, my girlfriend. I've survived so far with only a few extra things like clothes and shelter.

Nalu, I would fly to hawaii just to sit on the beach with you and smoke and listen to what you have to say. You have such a pure, beautiful mind.

Howdy Lulu,

You hit the nail on the head..I understood exactly what naluman meant, because it's the way I live. I barely own more than the clothes on my back,I don't carry a wallet, because I never have any money to put in it,the only money I carry,is 2 lucky pennies..plus that way,I've always got my 2 cents worth with me...lol. I also carry a 'coin',that says "Dad I love you !". I live in a small, old trailer,at 4k$ below the poverty level,I'm lucky if I can afford fast-food,once a month..and yet,my gal and I,are happier than all of my affluent relatives, put together. At first my relatives mostly pitied me..but now they are envious of me and my gal, because we're happy to just have each other. We feel that we are the wealthiest of all, because our friendship, love and trust..is priceless..we could live on the street..and be happy,as long as we have each other. That is the happiness..that money can't buy.

Excellent post,naluman....

Have a good one !
