hi

ive been growin for over a month (not sure how long), my plant is ok and has about 6 leaves but today it was leaning dangerously to the side as though it was drunk!

a friend told me that i needed to repot it as it looked as though it had too much water(?) and so i did.

well the thing is just as i about the re plant it into the bigger pot something fell onto the stem part so now the stem is v weak and the plant on its own just falls to the side - the stem isnt broken though, well not cleanly...

so in other words i have to now put a little stick next to the plant and tie it with a thread for support - my question is will this be ok? does the plant still grow ok? the roots were untouched so that should be good - or when shall i just bin the whole lot?

thanks for the help

If it grows back right then yea it can repair itself. Goodluck.

I would rap the injury to the stem with some paper based tape to keep the severed areas closer together

One month and 6 leaves????

Dude sorry, but if you have been growing for over a month and all you have is 6 leaves, why bother?

Smoke the fucker now while you still can.

HAPPY SMOKING :)

if it was leaning, then it probably has to do with where the light source is located, and how it's orientated....the plant will lean toward the light....are you using artificial lights or sunlight? if it's the sun, then you probably want to get a small flourescent light for night time to train it to stand back up...locate the light where it's opposite of the direction that the plant is bending, so that it bends back the opposite direction...you always want to have artificial lights directly over the very top of the plant, so it's looking "straight up" at it... the sun can be trickier since it moves, but you should have too much of a problem with it...

and if it's not the way your light is positioned and orientated, then listen to the others because their ideas sound good too...

there shouldn't EVER be any reason for you to prop up a plant...if there is, then it's either leaning toward a light, or it's not strong enough...and if it's not strong enough, then back off of the amount of water you give it (they only need water once a week when they're sprouts), and also move your light in closer if it's artificial, and put an oscillating fan on it, breezing it slightly but not blowing it over...that'll make it thicken its stems and get some lateral strength...the fan tip comes from torog, and it works because it worked for me i say goddamn

ohhhh, thanks for the tip:

i was tending to water it LOADS cos i thought it was leaning cos it was tired/dehydrated.

anyway i have since repotted the plant in a bigger pot and some more soil.

i am also using direct sunlight, one thing i was doing is to just turn the pot round so the plant can grow back towards the sunlight and straighten out if you know whati mean.

is all this ok?

thx

Yes if you turn the pot, the plant top will point towards the sun.

Not that it really matters if it is getting at least 5 hours of DIRECT sunlight a day

Well shit dude I don;t know.

I just know that I would chop it and say to hell with it if after 1 month I only had what was it...6 leaves?

I dont mean to dis your baby. I am sure she means a lot to you.

I hope she grows and florishes.

It's just that if I see someone growing a small tree in one month, I want to do that too and anything less I guess pisses me off at myself.

My own shortfall not yours friend. i didnt mean anything negative really.

Here is one of mine when she was 28 DAYS...

HAPPY GROWING BRO :)
