northern lights is a great all around beginner strain. strong smoke, respectible yields and will take what you give it. She is also not too stinky if you must worry about stenches

northern light x big bud... since you are a aprentiz the cheaper the better, you gotta learn how to make it before you start to expend more dough in good seeds... so the first option is a good idea...
What do you think llamaman?

Hi there. I have to tell you - years ago when I grew my 1st crop, I didn't know my head from my ass as far as what to do, what strain I should try, etc. (BTW, I'm a medicinal user). I just made a very LUCKY guess, and ordered pure Afghani seeds, because I pretty well knew that a 100% indica would be better for my physical pain. Long story short, those plants pretty much grew themselves, and I didn't know WHAT the hell I was doing! All the growing information I had I gathered from online posts, which really were very general, & didn't address any problems that might come up. Anyway, the plants grew short (about 1 meter, the average height for the strain), and to this day, that crop remains the best pot I EVER smoked. Very sweet, a strong body stone but my head remained clear, etc. Too bad I didn't have the knowledge or foresight to pollinate & gather some seeds from that particular grow, because I miss it to this day!
Another thing YOU didn't mention is whether you plan to grow indoors or outdoors. Northern Lights is great, but generally an indoor plant, and very delicate. The Afghani and Afghani #1 strains are very sturdy, and don't succumb very easily (unless you have a horrible infestation). Just my 2 cents. Good luck with your grow!

depends on money. if you want it to be as easy as possible eget sensi's. but since you are a bigginer try nirvana's strain northern lights. also look at www.drchronic.com I think they are better than seedsdirect. they are also now cheeper and have always been faster. ask both seedsdirect and docchronic a question and see who answers faster

Hi - given the choices, I would definitely opt for Sensi's Afghani #1 - again, it's a short but sturdy plant, and you can't beat the short flowering time. The F1 cross also contributes to a bigger yield than a regular Afghani.
I've ordered from SeedsDirect several times, but there's also my personal favorite - The Dutch company, Hemcy Seeds at http://www.hemcy.com. They also have an Afghani #1 of their own production, and they sell their seeds 12 to a packet. They have lots of other house-produced seeds too, as well as many varieties from other seed companies. These guys have never let me down, and their turnaround time is astounding. I've had some problems in the past with SeedsDirect - mostly with out-of-stock seeds that they let me know about AFTER they get my money, & I once had to wait 2 months for my package! Now that's annoying. Usually, though, they get rave reviews, so I wouldn't worry.

I would take nirvana's for afghani as it is just cheaper. afghani is so stable that unless they crossed it it will be virtually the same product as sensi's
