in the hills i carry this strapped to my leg ,

I usually carry an Italian pattern auto (switchblade) knife, but I don't consider it a weapon. It's mostly used as a tool to slice open boxes, strip wire insulation, pull staples, etc. Actually, I mostly like to show them off, since I build my own.

I also carry 1 or 2 Bic pens (don't leave home without a bic pen and a Classic Swiss Army Knife). Now that's something that really can be considered a covert weapon.

USA - HUNTINGTON, WV -- Police are investigating quadruple murders that happened in the 1400 block of Charleston Avenue.Three high school students went to the apartment of Dante Ward after the Huntington High prom and all four teens were gunned down.

As of Monday afternoon, police do not have a motive or suspect.

It appears the key to finding out who did is with the oldest victim Ward.

It was his apartment here that the gunman or gunmen came to and opened fire.

Ward was killed.

Monday would have been his 20th birthday.

Also dead are Michael Dillon, Megan Poston and Eddrich Clark.

Michael and Megan had been to Huntington High's prom.

Eddrick went to school in South Point.

Now police are trying to figure out if there's any connection between these murders and a shooting that happened back in February.

Ward was shot in the wrist three months ago as he stood in the 1600 block of 8th Avenue.

He could not give police a description of the suspect or the car in that shooting.

Fast forward to this shooting, it's still unclear how many people were on Charleston Avenue with guns and who did the shooting.

Police scheduled a news conference for Monday afternoon.

A candlelight vigil is scheduled for seven o'clock Monday night at the scene of the murders.

i love knives, i collect them, the knives i carry aroud with me are, victorinox swiss army knife, bought it some 9 years ago, its not for self defence, and i've had to use it countless times, its a good tool man when you need to fix something, of for bbq's etc, now i bought a victorinox swiss tool, with pliers!

for defence when camping i use an 11 cm blade hunting knive and i keep it in my hand when i sleep, (malta can be scary cos there are some mad hunters who dont give a shit)

someday i wish to buy a large lockback, could be quite useful and also good defece weapon

the gun is here to stay and u need to come to terms with that. i think america would be much safer if more people were properly trained to use firearms instead of being scared of them. they are an essential tool that is here to stay.

If they had tougher gun laws (in USA), all it would mean is that law abiding citizens would have to give up their guns leaving them defensless and the criminals get to keep theirs because I can't see them going to hand them in to the police.
