I'd say that either the guardians of that land, or the Indian spirits probably got to him. You could be a skeptic and think, "oh, nothing's going to happen to me if I take this pretty eagal statuet," Then as soon as you get back home, you end up with an enfection of some sort. Think about all of the stuff that took place when the ancients were there, or the Indians for that matter. All the ceremonies, rituals, maybe battles, and deaths that have taken place there. You don't think that spirits will actually fuck with you on this plane of existance? Hahahaha, they'll find ways, it can happen. Its crazy as shit, but sometimes it seems like the physical plane is affected by the spirit worlds.

Personally i think it would be worth it to find out for sure like junglist suggested. I mean think about it... This could be the "proof" of the afterlife practically the whole world is atleast idly lookin out for. Not that i believe that it was some sort of curse, i think its far more likely a coincidence, but what if im wrong? Dont pass up such a unique opportunity to preview the afterlife. Besides, if it turns out not to be cursed, you could prolly sell em for a bundle >=)

Well..it sounds like ya pissed off the Indian spirits there, for sure..isn't that pic of the pictograph, one of the Hopi time-line..? I could see where the spirits would allow that message to git through, but not pics of their sacred places.
Living in Hawaii, you already know, that it's best,to git a blessing, for any construction projects..otherwise,they seem to be plagued by problems.
Back when I was a youngun,my family used to run a wholesale cactus business,we went into alot of area's in the desert southwest,to dig up cacti and succulents. My old man explained to my brother and I,that if we found an Indian burial ground or dwelling, that we were to stay away from it and to never take anything from such a place. In fact,my old man,was given a medicine bag by an old Indian, for protection..he still has it. Maybe if y'all had burned some white sage first and asked the spirits for permission,y'all wouldn't have had so much trouble..but chances are..you'd still have trouble, anyhow.
Have a good one ....

heard nothing but good bout ya....(from a friend that adores you)
Yes , the indian Hopi timeline is very powerful,,,,I had the chance to meet a medicine man there he told me many nice stories about the hopi tribe...
he also mentioned that Hawaii is probally most powerful place on earth because its the newest land......kahuna ...like shaman ...bless everyone of my film shoots, i know sounds weird,,,,but after your blessed, you free and the respect to shoot on ancient lands of Hawaii, many things can happen just in a matter of seconds....eveyday, the hawaiian tourist commission receives rocks from tourist that took them home..many complained of bad luck and even death,.,,but we humans need faith,,,,,not rocks....leave them home ...
desert ? yes had my share of shooting in the desert, used to take a few cacti.
I learned my lesson , with leather gloves and newspapers i tried to get a jumping choya...bad,,,,i felt like somebody was watching me trying to take this plant....then the wind kicked up and a piece of the choya fell on my arms...thru the leather gloves....pain o da pain....i used a comb to take off the cacti, then cut the glove off..leaving pieces of leather pierced with the needles.....into my skin...i pulled the needles out..one by one...this was a painful feeling.. something told me to leave here...and you know i did....never again...yes.....i love the desert......thanks tor....

Howdy naluman,
Thanx for your kind words :)
I used to live near an Indian reservation, and it was an interesting experience,to say the least ! In fact, shortly after we moved there,my girlfriend had a very unsettling experience. She was sitting on the couch and was watching tv,when something caught her attention, out of the corner of her eye, through the window on the front door..she swears that she saw the image of a wolf's head and that it rushed towards her..she gasped and jumped..which caught my attention. She was so freaked out, that it freaked me out,and I decided to immediately burn some white sage and say prayers of protection and blessing. It must have worked, because it didn't happen again..I found out later, that there are tales of shape-shifters and bad shamans in the area.
There are more things in Heaven and Earth..than Man can know..
Ahh yes..good ol jumpin cholla..lol..the golden cholla,is the worst, and we learned quickly, our painful lessons..lol. It takes alot of practice,to handle a cholla without gittin stuck. The golden fishhook barrel cacti, are almost as bad..lol. I love the way the desert smells in the mornin and I reckon, that it will always be a part of me. I tell you what,if one ever needs to put a plant under a window to deter thieves, the jumping cholla is a dang good choice...lol..I bet the thief would still have a limb of cholla, stuck in em,when the cops took em down..lol.
Have a good one !
I enjoyed reading this ~Naluman~ :) Spirits are everywhere & You can not hide nothing from them either they see everything.

holy crap naluman...ive said it before, but ill say it again. Your stories are the best. In my opinion i think you did the smart thing by putting them back. If someone wants to screw around as an "experiment" then they can risk there own neck for it, not yours.
