Just listened to the new System Of A Down album, thought it was really good, just wondering what everyone else thinks ?

I own their first cd.It is decent i think.But i have heard like 3 or 4 tracks off the new one and don't really like any of them.It seems to me like they lost their "metalness".They are still hard,but in a soft way,if that makes sense.Too each their own though.Peace

Yeah see i never really liked them for their metalness. IMO theyve always been random crazy shit and thats what i love. The new album is very good!

Its all different, but you can always tell a System of a Down song within the first ten seconds of it. I like much of their new album, but a couple tracks I just don't get in terms of lyrics or certain parts seem to kill the song.

pure garbage is all i gotta say about there 2 past albums. sounds nothing like them at all. there older shit was amazing. first 3 albums kicked major ass. last 2 are weaker then hell

soad get progressivley better wit each release, shame about them taking a break for solo projects, a band this good should be FORCED to produce more.

Soad is a sorry excuse for rock music in general.
They went from moderatley tollerable to total sell out, and they stole a the aireals (sp) riff from a band called Dirty Three, the song is Alice Wadding. go download it and hear for yourself.

Hypnotize and Mezmirize weren't terribly good albums. . .

At least Mezmirize had a bit of variety, though. All the songs on Hypnotize had a similar sound.

thats good someone still likes them lol. i had there old shit goin today. been awhile since iv listened to them. but there 2 past albums i never listened to.; maybe 1 song or 2 but cant stand when Daron sings. makes me wanna rip my eye balls out. HAH
