whats the best way to keep all light away from plants in the 12 hour dark period for flowering??
what kind of methods do yous experienced growers use??
could i just put the flower inside a cardboard box and seal it up and leave just a couple of small air holes or something for nighttime and then take it out in the morning and put it back under the light for 12 hours??? :)

Why not just turn off the lights, and put your plants in a closet with the door closed?

i have no closets and the sun never stays down for 12 hours so theres bound to be some sunlight coming in my window before the 12 hours is up..........
what can i do to keep plants in dark????
i havent made a grow box yet because im not sure how to keep light out,i was also goin to leave the plant on the window ledge in the sun for a few hours about 3 days a week day

Well, depending upon your plant size, just place a big cardboard box over the plant. Make sure its light tight.
I dont know what you hope to accomplish by window ledge light 3X week.
have any pics of what you;re growing?

havent started growing yet hardon, i want to get all my info correct before i start, but im itchin to start now.
i thought the sunlight 3 times a week might help strengthen the plants and give them plenty of air..
if im covering the plant with a cardboard box or something like that then how would i let enough air in as well as keepin light out for 12 hours??thats the biggest obstacle i have to get over.
my only other problem is the soil ph,i dont know how to get it to 6.5 or how to keep it there, and is bloodmeal and all that other stuff needed for the plant or could i just buy a soil that has plenty of nutrients in it already???
thanks for any advice hardon

Prof Evil...
I know you are anxious to get started, but think it thru from germination to harvest.
You need:
Good Light 18 / 6 (7)days a week.
A grow room or grow closet.
If you just want to grow a tree in your room and have some sunlight from the window to grow it, you wont be happy with the results.
The key to indoor grow is to simulate outdoor conditions as much as possible...without the elements dangerous to plants.
Light is the most important.
Buy some PRO MIX from a nursery. It comes at 6.5 pH and if you water it with pH 6.8 or so water, you'll never have a problem.
It has nutrients in it so all you will need to add is some cat shit or bat shit now and then after 25 days.
I suppose a box over your plant will work...just stick a fan in there to blow the air around. Not IDEAL, but you will still grow some smoke.
You need to be sure you have the environment to do this and the will to see it through.
Think about it. It is a commitment.
