Flipwonder, how could you expect to find a good horticultural light at a pet store, you should go to www.insidesun.com

I use fish Flo's for my germ/preveg stage and they work just fine... i'd say go with it. But don't expect to finish your crop with that. For the first 1-3 weeks it'll work just fine... but after that you'll need about 20 of them or a different light.

Gumby is correct. Almost any light (other than incandescent) will do for the first few days or week...maybe 2.

But after that, no way.

Insidesun is cool but discounthydro is cheaper than anything I have found on the whole www.com

But no, your light you have hotlinked is worthless to you for all intents and purposes.
