I have been following many threads here for several weeks and am now posting one of my own. Current Set-UP: 400 Watts Flor, 6 Weeks into 12/12 with 2 ladies. Scotts Potting Soil & 40% Perlite. I have these few questions I would greatly appricate some help with.

1. The pictures I posted are about a week old, many buds now have about 20-30% Amber/Brown Hairs. I know I should be looking at the trics and I have a loop coming to do so this week, but how long do you think these buds have left, I figure approx 2 Weeks.

2. When looking at the trics with a 30x loop, do I look at the ones closest to the actual buds or the ones on the small leaves around the buds?

3. When I trim the buds before I hang them to dry, How much of the small leaves around the buds should I trim off, Should I trim them as close to the buds as possible or leave the small leaves that have alot of trics on them with the bud?

Any Help would be appricated.

Thanks

sorry man i dont know much about harvesting but a good flower time to harvest is 8 weeks for most growers....alot of growers harvest the top half and leave the lower buds so they recieve all the light so they can finish up...i too am growing...on my second round.....i didnt do so well my first time around and never made it to harvest....but those ladys look mighty nice....i hope my buds look as nice as yours when they start coming in .....peace

PartypokerPlayer,

Thanks for the help, 8 weeks is what I was planning on as well, and I think that is going to seem about right. The buds are small on these plants but look nice and since I did LST (Low Stress Training) I am getting a ton of small buds. I understand that flowering with flor light will cause small buds. Is this true also, Anyone?

The buds won't be as big with flouros you should use HPS or MH for flowering.
