Howdy everyone, I was just thinking how much different life would be if I lived in the city. I live in the middle of like 500 acres of cornfield in a spooky 100 year old house. The closest town is population 55. I have a huge yard. I have alot of questions for a city person, like, when you go outside does it bother you to have people around? Or to hear cars going by at night. Do you ever have problems finding parking spots? Is there really gangs that stand on corners? Is there certain areas you won't drive down? Maybe I am a gullible country girl, but I'm just curious. I come from a place where there's not even a cop. There's no shootings, nokidnappings. I'm a pretty good looking 21 year old girl and around here I'm not afraid to walk anywhere alone. If you put me in the ghetto, I'd be dead in like 30 minutes. The thought of a place where I had to be afraid to walk down the road kinda makes me sad. Anyways, any questions, just ask.

well i love the crowdedness(like my word) of a city and i dont think i could stay in a secluded country area for long without wanting to go back home. Parking sux tho...it does. Not really gangs on the corners but more like groups of people. Ill drive anywhere...theres nothing really to be afraid of in the city, just dont be stupid and piss someone off. And u saying if u goto the "ghetto" ull b dead...thats not really that tru, just dont be dumb and piss ne1 off.

I have like 2-3 people I get smoke from, they've been my dealers for like 3-4 years. One of thems an hour away, but it's cheaper. 25 for a quarter, 50 for a half, 100 for an ounce. The other couple people I get smoke from are like 20 minutes away but it's more expensive 20 eighth, 40 quarter, 80 half. So most the time I drive an hour away to get smoke. I also have a good hookup in Topeka, KS (like a 5 hour drive) where I can get OZs for 60 bucks. Or 200 for a QP.

I like the country much more then big cities. Actually, I really like mid-sized towns, like around 20k. I find those people to be much nicer.

damn thats reaaaal cheap its 20 a gram here 100 for a quarterThere's no way I would pay 100 bucks for a quarter! I get mad when I have to pay 40! I like my quarters 25.00. I smoke like a half every 2-3 days. I would be spending like 400 dollars a week if I paid 100 for a quarter.

I think it depends on the individual, whether or not they like having people around. I also think it is possible to experience culture shock, especially if you are going from a small community/town to a large city. You will eventually get used to it and the same with the noise. Parking depends on the location and what is happening nearby. I believe that the idea of gangs hanging on corners is more of a tv/movie thing. And I will drive in all areas of a city. Mind you there are some areas where I am more alert of my surroundings but not to the point where I am frightened for my life. Look up the city you are moving to on the internet. Maybe post the city you are moving to and someone more familiar with it can help out.

Good luck with everything! :)

TheLion

Ya man, I don't think I could even get mids if I wanted to. I had never heard of mids or schwag until this site. The stuff that I smoke is incredible. I've been smoking for years and have never had to smoke more than one bowl to get roasted (granted, I have smoked more than one bowl, but I didn't need to).

i've lived in las vegas for 12 years, 8 blocks from the hilton, close to the strip in an older, well established neighborhood with churches, parks and schools nearby...and it sucked something fierce!!! noise always, filth in the streets, graffitti wherever a blank wall once existed, yelling/arguing neighbors...etc etc etc...NO THANKS!

i moved to a small town 100 miles away 3 1/2 years ago and don't miss the big city one bit. peace and quiet mean a lot to some...like daniel boone said many years ago, "Elbow room!"...

only gangs up here belong to the FFA or FHA (future farmers/future housewives of america)...plus no one messes with my gardens here! a major plus over city-living...

There's nothin like cities when you wanna go out to clubs, concerts, or just raise hell. When you're 21 and want to party with your peeps, the city rules. Most cities are very safe because there is tons of pplz out at night, all hours. Just stay out of the gangsta hoods, cause of the drive-bys.

I do have a serious question for nuggetgal ..... with the area so rural, not alot of pplz, it must be hard to hookup w/ppl yur own age.

For me its best to live in the burbs, and cruise to the city for some action.

nuggetgirl
05-17-2005, 07:06 PM
The bud I get from topeka for 60 an ounce is actually the best, it's extremely compressed. 1 bowl will get you baked. The stuff I buy if mainly commercial, but it's not bad. I can go pay 60 for a quarter of some good nugs, but there's no northern lights, or blueberry, or alcopulco gold, or maui wowie or nothing. Come see what I got, I'll share. Oh yeah, oreo, I'm not a total bitch, but I speak my mind. People around here call me a bitch. I take it as it comes. I'm just a bit odd.

That's one thing about the city (or at least San Francisco), people applaud you for speaking your mind, they don't call you a bitch for it.

It's gonna sound pretty sad, but I really don't have any friends. My old man is my best friend, and his brother. But he just went to rehab for 30 days. I sit at home all day with my kid b/c there's not much to do around here. I'm a mechanic, so most chicks don't like me b/c I work with their boyfriends. And yes to all you guys wondering, there is such a thing as a hot female mechanic. I got the picture to prove it.

Theres certain roads you don't go down in the city because if your on it your either buying drugs/selling drugs or a cop.And yea thats ghetto, but theres places out by me in the country where you don't go down certain streets.Like alot people won't even go on the indian rez's at night.
I've lived everywhere, and each has it advantages. But i definetley prefer living in the boonies.I used to live in 20 acre ranch and ithought that was alot. But 500,damn,sell me 10 acres.Ill move to iowa, shiiiit.

I have to ask, did you willingly marry? and, are you happy with your marriage?

nuggetgirl
05-17-2005, 07:54 PM
Well, if there is any older people out there, as in not in High school, you know that after a long time with somebody you get comfortable in your relationship. My old man doesn't tell me I'm beautiful as much anymore. Sometimes I wonder if he still likes the way I look, ecspecially b/c I got married when I was 16. I have definitely changed alot since I was 16. I now have a womanly body, and I wonder if he doesn't like it.

TheLion
05-17-2005, 07:56 PM
That's why I asked. I'm sure you have grown a lot since you were 16. 16 is just a little girl. My sister is 16, and I can't even fathom her being married.

nuggetgirl

makor01
05-17-2005, 07:59 PM
Well im 26 and ive had a few long term relationships and in all long term relationships shit like that happens. When i was 21 marriage was the last thing on my mind...So maybe that thought "is there anything else out there?" has crossed someones mind. Marrying at 16 is way young so maybe that is the case.

At 16 you think you're grown up already, you think you know everything. Has anyone ever heard of a paradime shift? It's where all of a sudden you wake up and see the world from a totally different perspective, it all feels different and suddenly you think you understand it all now, but in most likelyhood, you will have several paradime shifts in your life. I think it's all a part of learning lessons and growing wiser. My mother just passed away in April from cancer. I believe her death has caused my paradime to shift and look at the world from a different viewpoint.

Christianity has a fucked up viewpoint in the world. I used to be a Wiccan. I then married a preachers son. I became a christian. I am very spiritual, but I do not believe you have to go to church every sunday to go to heaven. God accepts me and all my faults, ecspecially sex, drugs, and rock and roll. He may not like the things I do, but he still cares for me. I have lived an extremely hard life. Like right now, I do not have a mom or dad, all my other relatives are long gone. I just got done spending 3 months with my mom watching her die. I do not have all the answers on my faith, right now is a fucked up time. But I know there's someone up there watching out for me.

I wouldn't trade the city life for anything. So much stuff to do and see and to be apart of. I don't know why everyone hates it, especially the gangs and stuff. Maybe it's different where you're from. I'm not afraid to drive/walk anywhere, I've never been messed with (probably because i'm 6'4 170 lbs but still).

I mean, the city is great, as long as you're confident you can go pretty much anywhere, just don't be smug, just be nice and don't fear people.

I have lived in both the country and the city, and let me tell ya I got outta the city as fast as i could. Its just not my thing, not because of the crime or anything which in Detroit theres lots:eek:, but when u grow up and its always quite at night and ur used to things being a certin way and being able to walk around at time day or night and just be safe.
you dont have to worry about anything or anyone. I missed just being able to go the lake and fish when i wanted or swim when i wanted. I didnt get to go mudd runnin because theres no two tracks in the city either:(. It was so frickin nosie too!! that i just couldnt handle. I like being able to look out my windows and see the stars.
