While looking for some flu medicine in my cupboard I find a bottle of pills. These pills apparently each contain 300mg of acetaminophen, 15mg of caffeine and 8 mg of codeine phosphate...can I do anything with this? This is mostly idle curiosity since what little I do know about codeine doesn't really appeal to me, but if anyone could help me out it'd be appreciated.

Lol well acetaminophen is tyelnol. The caffeine is obviousl yeah. and codienes fun but i dont know what phosphate means, personally dont take them. Probably wont even have an effect.

Does cold water extraction work? I just want to make sure I wouldn't be taking any obscene amounts of acetaminophen due to the possible liver damage. Plus I've got a fairly weak stomach, so anything that can irritate it probably will.

Water wont seperate chemicals, i wouldint try, u need to use fucked up shit to seperate it, like ammonia and lighter fluid.. not a good idea unless u know what your doing, just buy some delsym cough syrup, drink it down and wait an hour.. you will trip your ass off.

Actually the cold water extraction does work, since the codeine is water soluble, and acetominophen is not. The acetominophen would rise to the top, while the codeine is left in the water. Just scrape off the crap and drink the water.

There always is a bit of chemical loss with the cold water extraction, unless you are a veteran at it, so you might want to add a little more in when you attempt to extract it via cold water extraction.

probably dont even need it, you could take 10 pills safe 80mg codeine, 3000mg acetaminophen which will not kill nor your liver.

How come? I mean, would you rather just get the codeine? Or get the codeine with the APAP and potentially hurt your liver?

Theres Basicly 2 derivetives..

Codeine Phosphate.
Codeine Sulphate.

same also with Morpheine.

M.Sulphate
M.Phosphate.

8mg of codeine per pill its not really worth trying to exract.
Just save them for when you Have a Bad headace..
