This is probably a stupid question, but will a female produce seeds without being pollenated at all? does a male have to be present for any seeds to appear?

male must be present. now with pumpkins, i can brush the pollen from a male to the female. so, in essence, the male doesn't need to be physically present (but needs to be somewhere).
unless you're some sort of mad scientist and know something we don't know, you need the male.

yes you absolutly need to have the male pollen to pollenize the female. but if u had previously a male and theres still polen in the air your female may produce few seeds.

i probably have another stupid quesiton to ... but ... if you introduced the male to the female would that make you're buds on the female shitty buds .... or ... would it just have seeds with good bud .... and ... will the male plant produce seeds with out the female or ???

well the guy i get my bud from why i buy is great smoke and has little seed in it...i dont see why pollenating a plant would make the smoke shitty....i guess ppl say it ruins the crop b.c in ur buds instead of being nice and dense with nothing but bud instead you have what appears to be a dense bud with seeds inside
