not saying it is at all but i have a very addictive personality and every time i stop smoking for a while, i miss it so much to the point where i think i am in some way addicted, especially trying to fall asleep when not completely toasted. yea man i hear ya on this shit. i think i am addicted to weed but to me it is just like cigs except instead of just getting a buzz off cigs for the first couple of times u get high everytime. i can't sleep very good unless i am high but if i am out, i just go and get some herbal tea , the sleepytime kind, and that shit knocks me out. no ur not weird, a lot of people r like u and me but they just don't admit it.

Yeah, people can get psychologically addicted to things. Anything really. Like some people are addicted to sex, and they'll blow their week's paycheck on hookers if they can't find a willing partner.

I saw it on 20/20.

Marijuana is in no way physically addictive but in alot of cases its psycologically addictive, thats probablly you. if you wanna be able to stop just ween your self off like you would with any other addiction.

ithink that'sabout how like 69% of the people here are....i'mone of those people and i have addictive personallity (for some reason after doing coke several times i didn't get addicted.....thank buddah!) but i have a psychological addiction to it...i use it to self medicate my manic depression and somtimes to restore a normal sleeping pattern to my severe insomniac ways...(i go to bed when everyone else is wakin up to go to school and work and shyt)

Oh its addictive, but not as bad as nicotine.
Especially that specially added "freebase" nicotine just for your nervous systems pleasure.

It's not real addiction... just when your off weed, everything seems alot more boring and you can't sleep... also you get irratible but that's it...

Hmm... I guess I don't really have an addictive personality. I love smokin pot, but if I don't have any... oh well. Though I do have to admit that it is oh so effective at treating insomnia.

anybody know the other side effects or like withdrawal of marijuana?
irritability
anxiety
physical tension
decreases in appetite and mood
Symptoms of marijuana withdrawal first appear in chronic users within 24 hours. Marijuana withdrawal is most pronounced for the first 10 days and can last up to 28 days.

although i can't veify it's trueness it does sound about right i mean think about it what happens to all ofyou constant smokers when you run out.... and it was at this site (http://www.addictionwithdrawal.com/marijuana.htm). oh yea somthing intresting...they said marijuana is a green and GREY mixture so that really makes me wonder how crediable this info is.

I will admit, it does tend to help with falling asleep. But sometimes a nice hot shower will do the same. I do understand the "i tend to get agrivated easily" part though. Cuz if I smoke today, and tomarrow decide I'm not gonna smoke, I will probally be agrivated for the first hr or two after waking up, after taking shower. But at the same time, its no where near the same type of addiction imo as cigerettes or other things that could be listed.

hello. all of you weakling weirdos whom think you are addicted to cannabis: do have psychiatric problems, but do not blame cannabis. the pleasure center and THC receptors in your brain either receive stimulation, or remain ready. other stimulants, (alike caffeine), alone have greater effect, without a buffering of cannabis. there may be a crave, a strong pleasure desire: but there is no addiction to cannabis. pleasuring yourself is an addictive behavior, either with cannabis, or a battery operated device. addictive behavior is psychiatric, and not psychological- especially not physiological. heroin is physiologically addictive. the body tells the brain what it wants, and even that is a symptom of weak mindedness. the physical withdrawals of heroin are real, and require days of internal chemical cleansing to cure. it is the same with nicotine, on a lesser scale. cannabis will clean out in four hours, potheads. drink plenty of fluids.

Cannabis is no more addictive than a cheese burger or a beer. It feels good so you want to do it. Thats not addictive that just means its pleasurable to do it. Now with substances like alcohol or cheese burgers there's a down side, you get fat or your a drunk. No such down side for cannabis unless you consider grinning from ear to ear to be a bad thing.
