Smoking a bong with matches

Doesnt the smoke from the matches go into your lungs? Is that bad for you?
I know smoking anything is, but is this especially bad?

last night i was lighting a bong with matches because i couldn't find a lighter. the bowl was already cashed so basically all i was inhaling was burned sulfur, it tasted terrible.

Overall, I think it should be fine as long as you don't hit while the sulfur is burning and you don't do it very often. Because that could be harmful for your body.

It is bad for the lungs when you try to inhale the sulfur(head) in the match.
As much as possible, use decent lighters that are available like any store in the world that sells matches!
If ever you are already stoned by now, use your match but don't inhale the sulfur! Good luck young man!

Dude didn't ask what was used before lighters retard, he asked if it would hurt his lungs to use a match, and u can start a fire with 2 sticks ya kno? Question has already been answered, wait for the tip to burn off then use the match. You'll see a small puff of black smoke at first, thats the sulfur burning off. I use matches when i cant find a lighter for w.e im smokin, spliff, bong, G.B, w.e. And apparently ezjim has already :stoned: to much cause u weren't even close to being on topic bro. Yeah really that smoke may cause danger to our lungs so most of the people use lighters or any other article which will help them in lighting the cigar that is good idea.

I would have to say a match sounds similar to a hemp wick(well once you let the sulfur burn off). Because once you burn the sulfur off its just wood on fire.
