getting my grow room set up and wondering, do I pull the hot air through the system or should I put the fan on intake side and push the air through... I have heard differing responses on this, so would like to know others input on this subject.......

Put in both, use what you need when temps require.

Pushing it is better for the fan motor if it's integrated with the ducting.

well I set it up to pull, that's what I saw in a set up vid... did a test run and holding at 75 deg in room, so temps are not a prob. But that's what I was wondering, would the heat coming through on the outtake effect the fan motor. just a few screws and zip ties to play with and I can move it to the intake......

supposedly the fan motor should work for a good while either way but all things being the equal, the cooler a motor runs the better.

One problem with pushing is that if your system has leaks, you're pushing air back into the room. When I had mine set to push, my room temps averaged 5 degrees hotter than when I pull. Most of my leaking was coming from the light enclosure.
